My husband and I visited this excellent and amazing food truck located in Asheville, North Carolina, we had a great experience. Amazing food, delicious, good portions, good prices, customer service exceptional!! We got tostones, lechon pork with rice and black bean, sweet plantains, ham croquets, Cuban sandwich, mamey juice and jupina drink, everything was great, congratulations!! Please visit this place!!

Stopped by the brewery and decided to give this truck a try. Glad I did! Fantastic Cuban sandwich. It’s pretty big and the ingredients are top-notch. Would eat it again today if I was in town longer. Fried plantains are really nice as well.

A group of us wanted to support new/re opened restaurants. We seen this local place had moved into the hi wire (Biltmore) and this would be a great place to grab food and drinks before the Tourists game. I’m gluten free and had plenty to choose from except the pastries as they had ran out for the day. Everyone loved their food from the shredded beef special to the classic Cuban sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals from Guajiro Cuban Comfort Food. The food truck sits outside of Hi-Wire Brewing. They have a relationship with the brewery which allows their customers to use the tables both outside and inside.
My dining partner ordered the Sweet Plantains (Plantanos Maduros), White Rice (Arroz Blanco), and Nana’s Black Beans (Frijoles negros de Nana). I ordered Roasted Pork (Lechon Asado) with Mixed Rice and Black Beans (Arroz Concri) which also came with three sweet plaintains. We shared a Flan de Coco (Flan topped with sweet coconut) for dessert.
The lechon asado was delicious. The meat was juicy and tender with a wonderful flavor. It had no need for any sauce. The plantains were delicious. The Nana’s black beans were wonderful; the flavor was amazing. The flan was fantastic. The custard was perfect, and deeply infused with the caramel sauce. The coconut was moist and sweet. The portions were quite generous and there was enough to bring home for another meal.

This food truck is located right outside hi-wire and man was it a treat!
I was seeking a small bite and order the pork bites…well well..that was a meal! The pork was delicipus , the black beans and white rice were also on point!
The serving sizes are well worth the price and the service was even better than the food! The woman doing the window was amazing!
Will definitely come back when we’re in the area!

I had Guajiro catering take-out for a group of 21 people, and there were lots of delicious leftovers. Everyone LOVED the food. It is the perfect kind of food for feeding a big group due to how it travels well, stays warm, and much of it is vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free. The chicken and rice and ropa vieja went the quickest, but we all loved the lechon and yucca as well.
