Stopped in for a few drinks (they have a great prices on strong margaritas.) I didn’t get a chance to try the food yet but will definitely be back, I can only imagine it’s delicious.

I’ve lived near here for a long time, and I’ve always seen this spot but never came in. I WAS MISSING OUT! One of the best Mexican restaurants in East Harlem or Manhattan in general! I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half now. I’ve never been disappointed! Their torta, enchiladas, burritos, tostada are AMAZING. The spicy pork torta is my favorite with jalapeños and chipotle mayo. I want this food all the time haha

I really like the food here, but unfortunately customer service is not that great. I ordered pick up twice from here. First time came on time food was cold. Second time came early. Ordered food at 6:20 pm and was not ready until 7pm. I ordered shrimp quesadilla and steak Nachos. I asked for tamatillo sauce and sour cream which does not come with the order. It is already made in the quesadilla and tamatillo does not come with order. What kind of Mexican restaurant does not provide that for free in Harlem? They want to charge $2 extra for this!! I waited so long they could have some Courtesy for the LONG wait. Bad business!!

This is Wl Barrio secret jem. Family owned, excellent cuisine. Authentic dishes. Dora and Hector are amazing hosts. Music is eclectic from the 80’s to the sounds of old Mexico. You haven’t lived until you stop here. She don’t tell anyone. It’s our SECRET! ENJOY!

The staff couldn’t have been more lovely and accommodating. We stayed and waited for our take out and enjoyed the $3 modelo and Stella beer special. Music was classic rock and was an overall great experience. Whomever reviewed the place prior… should check it out again. It looks like perhaps a change of hands has happened. Because I completely disagree with all negative reviews.

Best mezcal margaritas in the city. Fresh squeezed lime juice and agave 🙂

Food was delicious! Service was great. Will frequent this place for the foreseeable future. Margaritas a little pricey ($16) but strong. Overall, really happy we checked this place out.

First time in this restaurant, waiting time was a little long but WORTH IT! Food was delicious. Our waitress Dora was very friendly and nice. The only thing that we wish they do is to give chips and salsa but they don’t ; was going to take away a star because of it but Food was really delicious; amount of it was satisfying. We will be back

Nice family-owned restaurant in the neighborhood. I’m shocked about the bad reviews here. Yes, they take their time but the food is amazing! So authentic, this family makes literally the best quesadillas I’ve ever had! My husband, who’s Mexican, LOVES their tacos. The family really does it all themselves, and I would rather support this small business than any stupid quasi-mexican chain restaurant.
