Grottos is a local favorite! Great pizza and vibes. As normal for restaurants, they need to clean! Window sills by tables were dirty- and the entire place needs a good deep clean! Games are always a plus with the kids.

Ambience is really sad. This is my first time coming since Covid and its really gone downhill. There is no free popcorn anymore, barely any music, the table TVs are gone, and the floating TVs are all muted and more like a background accessory. It felt like eating in a ghost town. The food was also lack luster. The only thing I ever truly recommend is the pizza. You can never go wrong with a classic cheese. This trip I got a Wild Mushroom Burger and it was very mediocre. I couldnt even finish it because it just didn’t taste good enough. I only even got the burger because of the special, which for 10.99 a pop was still overpriced. The only truly good thing was our waitress. She was attentive and kind. All in all I still think Grottos is overhyped, and there are at least 4 other pizza or sports bar joints within a 10 minute drive of this location that just has way better food and prices. So eat here at your own discretion.

Over this past weekend, I worked closely with Deena and Sean to provide catering for a fallen marine. Both Deena and Sean were a dream to work with!! Both were attentive to the situation, provided timely updates and bent over backwards to provide catering to this large gathering (300+). Last week (6/20/25) while in town for an event, a family member suggested ordering from Grotto Pizza in Seaford, DE after a long day’s travel. After reading some recent poorly rated reviews, we still decided to take the chance based on my relative’s suggestion (she is a long time local of the area), and the pleasant memories I had of visiting Grotto Pizza with her as a child. Picking up the take-out order, the server was kind, though we did note we were not offered or provided any condiments for our meal, which was unfortunate once we arrived to our rental home. This turned out to be only a minor slight, as the fried zucchini ordered was soggy, the burgers were unseasoned, and the cheesesteak I ordered contained a very clear and obvious insect in it. I am grateful that because I forgot to ask for light cheese, I was using a spoon to scoop out any unwanted pockets – which is where I made this appalling discovery.
After composing myself, my relative and I returned to the restaurant with the evidence. We spoke to a manager that was both helpful and remorseful of our experience, though when we asked for a full refund and she had to consult the general manager, he did not acknowledge or approach us with any apology for what occurred in his establishment. My hope in sharing this review is that this location will take note & take accountability. While I’m no authority, I honestly feel this location should receive an inspection. It is absolutely unacceptable that this happened and there was no effort on higher management’s part to do anything about it. What is the most disappointing is that my once warm and nostalgic image of this restaurant chain has now been reduced to this negative experience. I will not be returning, and I caution anyone considering visiting this location to think twice.

Greek chopped salad and cheese pizza …delicious!! We stop here whenever passing through and are never disappointed. Everyone working there couldn’t be nicer. Highly recommend!!

Went to Grotto Pizza for a repast after a funeral in Seaford. We are from out of state and admittedly pizza snobs. The pizza was just OK but the chicken and pasta was good. Service was incredible. The venue was immaculate, lively, and the bar area was full. If you are ever in Seaford, I recommend Grotto Pizza.

Having been a loyal customer for many years at seaford grottos, after tonight, I’ve decided I will never go back.
All because of a new and untrained unattentive server, I was told I was impatient when all around me, people were not being taken care of.
The new management needs to pay more attention to what is really going on In this place it can be a disaster at times.
The bar staff is not to be included in this opinion, as they are always on the ball.
Nevertheless, I won’t go back after being treated the way my group was tonight.
It seems they’d rather go out back and smoke instead of taking care of their customers. Tonights so called “Management” included!!
