my family stumbled across this lil slice of heaven this afternoon and all I can say is wow! The staff were so friendly and funny! They were fast and our order was perfect! Even the other patrons were so nice and welcoming! my child who normally pics at his food like a bird ate two cheeseburgers ( which has never happened)! the flavors and portions were amazing! atmosphere is fascinating and there’s so much to look at while you wait! We will definitely be back! Gave it 5 stars because they didnt have the 60 million stars my kids wanted to give them!!!! Highly reccomend!!!!!

We were traveling and found this gem on maps. So glad we stopped. Get the breakfast sandwich! It was actually toasted, everything was delicious, including the unsweetened tea. I wish I lived closer! It would be a regular stop for us!

The Grilled Club Cafe is a neat place to visit. It’s an “order at the counter” type of place with menu screens above the kitchen area, but the dining room has been appointed in interesting ways. The lighting, partially due to the number of menu screens, had a very blue cast to it.

When I first walked in, I didn’t notice it, but there was a chess table upside down on the ceiling over my head. It’s definitely a whimsical touch that you don’t find at most restaurants.

After placing our order at the counter and paying for our meal, we filled our cups at the drink area, which was next to a knight in full armor. We passed through to a larger dining area that had a number of tables surrounded by glass-fronted hutches containing antique glassware in a very tasteful display. We waited there for our food to be delivered.

Just under 15 minutes later, a server brought our orders to our table. The Reuben looked a little lonely on my plate because I didn’t order anything to come with it. My wife’s plate looked a little more complete, because she had ordered the potato wedges with her meal.

I was surprised that the Reuben was not cut in half, but I didn’t let that dissuade me from digging right in. The corned beef was okay, but I felt that it didn’t have a lot of flavor to it—and it was a little tough. The sauerkraut brought the dominant taste to the sandwich, and the Thousand Island was pretty light and provided some needed moisture, but didn’t add much flavor on its own. The cheese was nice and melty and tasted good. It was a little unusual to have the cheese in the middle of a Reuben instead of lining one of the slices of bread, but it did make it more noticeable.

The rye bread itself was super-thin but nicely grilled. Overall, the tastes on this Reuben didn’t excite me; overall the Reuben came across as rather mild. The sandwich was a nice “bite” of food, but neither super-filling nor flavorful. I did appreciate the pickle spear that accompanied the Reuben, which was very nice.

While we were there, Jay Custer wheeled over, who I assume is the manager, and politely checked on our dining experience. I would definitely come back to the Grilled Club Cafe, as the service provided by the staff and the atmosphere were both quite enjoyable. The Reuben was decent, but I feel like on a different day, with a different batch of ingredients, it would be even better.

It was our sister’s birthday and she wanted to try this place last week so a group of us women went. We were shocked that a place like this exists in Broadway. The decor was shocking. We loved the Fenton glass displays. It also has numerous antiques and a ceiling surprise when you walk in. It’s absolutely beautiful inside. The food was excellent and a good price. The staff was very friendly. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back. What a hidden gem.

This is a fantastic restaurant with really good service. The menu is huge and the food is so good. The decor is a lot of fun to see – don’t forget to look at the ceilings. We went there for a birthday lunch and it was totally worth it!

The issues we have are not with the taste of the food bc it was very good. The main issue is portion size versus price. They’ve raised their prices since we last ordered but the amount of food didn’t change. We paid $7.99 for fried cauliflower and $5.75 for an order of fries but the amount we got was definitely not worth it. The bread was barely toasted as well, which was another disappointment. I can’t say I’ll never eat there again but it will probably be a while.

Ever heard “the little holes in the wall has the best food and service.” This place is it. Had the club sandwich. The bread was lightly toasted the ham turkey, bacon. And cheese pulled everything together. Service was some of the best I’ve had. We had a party of 20. Nobody complained, all were smiling wanting to return. They have a three page menu (front and back) and I have two more pages to eat!!
