We stopped after a hike in the Sandias for a green chile cheeseburger. Good burger. While there, a guy came in with his Australian parrot, to eat. The parrot sat on a perch while he ate, and he showed it to a family and allowed them to hold the parrot. It was very sweet.

Another gem along the Turquoise Trail. Great selection of wine and local ales to accompany a menu of plates and sandwiches. Good selection of appetizers as well. Specialty items each night. Friday is fish and chips. The food is fresh. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Greenside is one of our faves. We come here more often than I’d like to admit. The food is very good and consistent. Service is great. Local beer on tap and love that their mixed drinks are all made with local spirits. They have good specials and a diverse menu.

Started out with a mediocre cheeseburger for my husband. But I have to say the service was good. BUT..the chicken fried steak, I got, was certainly NOT the bomb that everyone is talking about on here! I can not believe the fact that so many have said it’s good in these reviews. And it was expensive too! It was the WORST I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had some of the best in Texas and Oklahoma. It was thin, had been fried and dried out to the point to where it was very thin.. hardly any meat and resembled a cracker. Gravy was tasteless, and vegetables had no flavor either. No dinner rolls or bread to be had. All they had was toast like is served at breakfast.. I was so disappointed! We haven’t been in New Mexico very long, and we love everything about the state so far.. a few people had said to check the restaurant out, so we finally got to and then only to be such a letdown.
