First & last visit to the Green House, U-district area casual K-restaurant located on Brooklyn Ave NE & NE 41st St just 2 blocks west of UW. Popular Seattle area IG influencer recommended this place so I thought I’d give it a try. Was happy that the place was open before 11am for lunch, ordered beef soup (설렁탕 – $16). There were 2 trays of tea mugs, one white one beige. Lifted a white mug and saw a small cockroach running around inside the mug. Set it back down and got a beige mug for free self service hot barley tea. Sat at the counter by the window. Obviously not wiped down from the day (week?) before; cleared away crumbs with a white napkin and the napkin turned black. So far, not a good start. Food served. Side dishes (반찬): marinated bean sprouts, potatoes, fish cake strips & kimchi were not fresh. Beef soup was hot, smelled & tasted ok. Mixed in white rice & kimchi. Decent taste and beef slice was good. After several bites, found a baby cockroach float to the surface of the soup. Totally disgusted, I showed the server girl. She apologized. I should’ve asked for a refund but felt like vomiting, so I left immediately for fresh air. Probably not even 1% of my reviews are 1*. I don’t go to any restaurant looking for things to criticize but this place should be reported to the King county health authority. Support your local small businesses & restaurants but not this place

Low key family style Korean restaurant. We are looking for Kimbap(Korean rice roll) for a while, they are the very few restaurant sell fresh made kimbap in Seattle area. Flavor and aroma is spot on.

My friend took me there yesterday. We had tofu seafood soup and bibimbo. The food was good except the soup was a bit spicy. Good lunch place if you want less expensive food.

This place the poster of the food looks delicious and very tempting but the food do not do any gestures at all. The spicy pork bulgogi have so much fat in every bite, extremely greasy, and hardly any meat. It’s one of the worst bulgogi that I have had. They also need to work on their flavors and customers service. I will not return.

Can get very crowded during lunch time. Very casual place to eat. They offer purple and white rice to choose from. However the purple rice was out when I went there. Food was ok. I had a seafood &tofu hotpot. The service was very slow. I thought they forgot about my order. If you are in a hurry, don’t go there during the lunch rush.

I had the #10 and the #35. Both were excellent. The seafood tofu soup had clams, large shrimp, baby shrimp, octopus, and obviously a lot of tofu. Came with a raw egg, potatoes, cooked bean sprouts, fish cake, kimchi, and white rice (I asked for and received an extra bowl of white rice). These were also excellent. Nothing wrong with the food, although the walls could be cleaned up a little.

I had Naengmyun and it is not bad. I feel it is just a little pricy for what I got. $17 for this quality with two thin slices of meat is a bummer. And side dishes are a bit too salty without rice 🙁 Def not the best Korean restaurant in Seattle but it is the nearest

Delicious Korean food with a twist of Hawaiian and American flavor. Big portion and reasonable price.
