Delicious cheese steak! It was the first cheese steak sandwich I’ve ever had, actually. I liked it a lot. The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I saw some hot sauce near the pickup counter and asked them to add some of that to my sandwich before wrapping it up (I was taking it away to eat elsewhere). The seating isn’t special, just the same tables in the food court area that are shared with the other food-dispensing counters.

$18 plus tax and tips for the large came out to be $21 for a mediocre Philly cheesecake.

I tried it out because my friend kept on saying it was good, better than I probably remembered it from the old days over 5 years ago. It’s still the same.

To its credit, the staff was very nice, the bread was soft, and it definitely wasn’t the worst cheesesteak or sandwich I’ve had. But it sure is far from the best, especially at this price. The meat wasn’t too dry but it lacked the cheesiness of an authentic cheesesteak and there was way too much lettuce making the bread soggier than it needed to be.

Disappointing.
I ordered the regular size original Philly cheesesteak, the regular size chilli fries, and a bottle of apple juice. The original Philly cheesesteak was small, mushy, and salty. The bread had cracks in it and fell apart when I grabbed it. It wasn’t flavorful at all. It was just salty mush in a bun. I couldn’t taste any of the cheese or the beef. It just tasted salty. Also, the cheese was actually a cheese sauce. The chilli fries were also horrible. The fries didn’t taste fresh and also weren’t very crispy. They were only a bit warm while the Philly cheesesteak was piping hot. I could taste the chilli but it was very boring chilli. There wasn’t any kick to it. The fries didn’t seem to have a lot of chilli and cheese sauce but halfway through, it became almost all chilli and cheese sauce. The apple juice was just store bought apple juice.
Overall, I was really disappointed by the flavorless food especially since I paid nearly $20 for everything. The service was okay. It could’ve been better but wasn’t horrible. I had to ask the guy to give me my juice.

I did not have an enjoyable experience eating from Great Steak which is why I’m giving this place two stars.

Way way too spicy. ️ the nuggets were way too spicy for me and it left a burning sensation on my tongue. The fries were meh a bit dry and a bit hard to eat. They should make the nuggets not spicy and fries skinnier

Chesesesteak was decent (3 stars) but mostly peppers and onions. Cheesesteak fries were mediocre and overpriced. Potato skins were flavorless and literally 2 small skins for $9. Burger was bad. I ordered with Doordash and it took 30 minutes for delivery, so maybe it’s better fresh.

Update: Just had it fresh. It’s worse! Cheesesteak has hardly any meat, lacks favor, and the bread is toasted. Peppers aren’t really cooked. Quite a disappointment. Don’t waste your time. Service is friendly, that’s about it!

I grew up eating this place on every minimum day and so it brings back nostalgic memories. They always have solid bread, fresh ingredients and veggies, with tasty and well cooked meat on a great sandwich! Come by and enjoy the deliciousness of meat, cheese and veg!

It’s not that the food is bad. I’ve enjoyed the chicken teriyaki philly for years at the different locations, and find it adequately stuffed with chicken and good flavor. But at current prices, it’s not worth it. $13 for a small sandwich, $17 for large, I spent a total of $30 for a combo plus an extra side of jalapeño fries. That’s sit-down restaurant prices!

Legendary establishment, possibly the most depressing looking restaurant I’ve ever seen from the outside (it’s tucked in the very corner of the food court and there’s never a line) but I’d argue it adds to the ambiance. Great steak reminds me of something you’d see in a fever dream that takes place in 2007. Keep places like this alive and don’t replace them with an artisan juice bar or something lame like that. Food’s pretty good too.
