Spicy Italian sandwich was delicious. Gave us a free slice of goodness of our choice to munch while waiting for food.

The bread is fantastic and it makes for a great sandwich. 5 stars for the fresh bread and flavorful sandwiches. Only reason it isn’t 5 stars in the rating, they seemed to get the orders out of order when being made. I know some sandwiches will take longer than others but I got my sandwich and my son, who ordered right after me, took much longer. Several people who ordered after us left with sandwiches in hand. But I will definitely recommend this place to friends and be repeat customer when I’m in town.

Second week in a row I have purchased stale bake goods from Great Harvest. This week it was the Salted Carmel Cookies. Hard as rocks. Break your teeth trying to take a bite. Last week it was brownies. So dry they crumbled into small pieces when you picked them up. I have been a customer of Great Harvest for thirty years. Started with them at their downtown Portland location. They need to consider new management.

As a lifelong Alaskan, GHBC has always been a go to staple for tons of reasons, great bread, creative options, good sandwiches, etc. Lately, not so much. The bread for the most part continues to be a leading reason to visit, but the lunch menu has now become “conservative” at best.

I had one of the top ten sandwiches ever here! I wanted to take a picture of my sandwich for lunch for the review, but it was so incredibly good that I couldn’t stop myself. Before I realized what happened I ate my whole sandwich, so incredibly good! I had the ham and cheese.

Love the bread! Been coming here for as long as I could remember. Lately the service hasn’t been so great. The people there have been rude to my wife and I. Recently my wife has tried to get the sourdough sliced but won’t until 11(I get it,probably doesn’t cut well warm), come back a day or two later at 11. They said not till 12…(all the while being rude) we sit in our car to eat sandwiches and we see someone leave and it looks like they got their bread sliced…. So idk still love the bread but I remember when everyone there used to be nicer.
