This is definitely a “meh” type of place. Small town people seem to worship it but I truly believe its just due to tradition or loyalty, not quality. The inside is extremely cluttered with dusty knick knacks everywhere. If you want a sweet treat, don’t bring a debit card, cash or check only.

When I lived in Dayton over 10 years ago, I had the best apple fritters that of ever tasted. Over the last decade, I have tried to find an apple fritter that even came close, even when I traveled, and I always failed. Until today. We got apple fritters and donuts from Jim and Connie’s this morning, and the apple fritters blew me away. They are now the best I’ve ever had. Soft and tasty apple chunks, crispy edges, just the right amount of warm glaze, and a soft, tender inside. Wow. We live about an hour away, and we’ll be back — a lot. Oh, and the donuts were amazing, too!
