I love places that are exactly what you expect them to be! This diner has the usual huge menu that I know in advance will make it hard for me to choose. The food ranges from very good to surprising. For example, I went there at the request of my kids months ago. I was more in the mood for steak from Outback or something similar. But you know dad’s don’t usually pull rank on that stuff. But they had prime rib, so I thought “close enough” and went for it. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best prime rib I’ve ever had. Most times I’m just looking for the typical diner fare, and it never disappoints. Our waitress was, again, just the kind of person I hope for. A bit of that friendly Philly-girl attitude, a few “hon”s and “sweetie”s, and fast service! Great place. BYOB if you like!

Place is an icon in the area. Whenever we have friends in town they always want to go here the next day to nurse our hangovers. Great breakfast food all around the clock. I recommend the chicken fried steak.

Drive by here often but we never stopped in. Weekday after an early doctor’s visit that included fasting, spouse was ready for a good meal. Didn’t get one. The breakfast special was cheap and hot, but food was remarkably bland. Waitress was not personable, just going through the motions…never even offered refill on coffee. Maybe the others are friendly and we just got the sour one. We were disappointed.
