Best Detroit style pizza in the city! Joe is the man! We talked about different regional styles of pizza and his last trip to NYC. He is a knowledgeable and passionate guy who puts out a great product. A lot of places claim to do a Detroit style but don’t use the right cheese. He uses the authentic brick cheese that gives it a nice little bite. You won’t get that same attention to detail at a place like Jet’s. If you are feeling extra hungry try a little hand pie! The apple was delicious! Welcome to Lakewood!

In the Cleveland area they’re basically the only non-chain Detroit style pizza. We got 3 pizzas- a large hot honey ricotta with pepperoni added, the pesto vegetarian, some custom Gorgonzola as they ran out of their asparagus. Overall the pizzas are very unique and scrumptious, and I personally love the pesto! I give 5 stars for their unique style and great tasting pizza. However, here are some things that I wanted to outline- the pizza will take far longer than your wait time (probably due to the style of pizza being thicker and it being a Friday). Also, while we were there we heard them run out of at least 3 of their ingredients (sausage, asparagus, onions) and we didn’t in fact get our 3 sides of marinara, but we would like to give them some slack since they’re newer. Also, they seem to be entangling concept after concept (pie, coffee, French fries, etc. in a smaller space) when they could potentially be focusing on their prep for their pizzas to make it a better business model. For instance, most of their pies (quiches) were cold, honestly not many people want to go home and bake the cold quiches. At least if they were warm they could have sold them to the 20 people waiting. We saw a couple people walk out after waiting for a while. I would like to come back on a weekday to see their true potential. Overall great pizza, room for some streamlining and improvement, but they are Newer!

We were excited to try this place as who doesn’t love a highly talked up Detroit style pizza? We ordered a medium meatball deluxe and a pepperoni stinger with the hot honey on the side, as well as an additional side of pizza sauce, being that the owner had really bragged about how great it was. To start, the meatball pizza was burnt on half the pizza and tasted like dirty pizza pan, which turned my stomach. (See pic)The crust had a weird, spongy consistency. Was it old? The pepperoni zinger, hot honey was not on the side, even though it was very clear on the ticket that printed out with our order, and the cheese was hard even though the pizza was still pretty hot, but my husband found it edible.$60 for a medium and large pizza. We will not be retuning. For Lakewood businesses, I hope they improve.

Very personable staff making some incredible Detroit Style Pizza. They are not stingy with the toppings either. My medium pizza easily weighed 3 lbs. The ingredients were very fresh, and the crust edges were crispy and caramelized. Will definitely be back for more!

Tried it once over Uber delivery and thought it was some really good Detroit style. Dough was thick but light and the edges had great crisp. Second time I picked up at the store and requested the pizza to be cooked well done but unfortunately it was soggy with virtually no crisp to it. There was so much grease and additional moisture from the sauce on the undercarriage of the pie that it was already pretty bad by the time I got home (maybe 7-8 minutes away).

They make a delicious Detroit style pizza reminding me of home. Light, flavorful crust and cooked to perfection. The sauce was the best part of the pizza! I hope they offer dipping sauce in the future. The seating was limited and that’s to be understood since it’s a smaller place. Came in a box which allowed us to take home leftovers easily. The large comes with 10 big slices, the smaller has six. The service was superior and the price is spot on for quality and quantity. Would highly recommend!

Photos can’t do this pizza justice. The dough is soft but not soggy, the cheese is there but not overwhelming thick and the sauce OMG. It’s the best thick crust (I.e. Detroit style) pizza in Cleveland. Reminds me of the upside down (cheese on the bottom, sauce on top) Sicilian pizza from one of my favorite NYC pizza spots, Rosa’s Pizza.

Pretty tasty, and obviously quality ingredients, but the pizza we received was not Detroit style pizza. There was way too much dough, which seemed a bit undercooked, and it got really soggy and spongy with the toppings which was a bit disappointing.

We loved this pizza! Crispy, cheesy, the perfect amount of sauce. But best of all, the vibes in the shop were SO friendly. My fiancé even got a couple of complementary eggplant parm slices to try while he waited for our pizza to come out. These guys are doing Detroit style justice in Cleveland. Definitely give them a try. We will be back for sure.

The pizza is good but not worth the hassle. Gave one of my orders to the wrong person, they had to completely remake it. Wasted a good 30 minutes of my life. Decided to give them another chance and came back and made a large size in person order, came back to retrieve it and they hadn’t even made it. They did offer to make it but I was already late for the party I was going to. The staff couldn’t figure out how to refund me. How hard is it to get a pizza order right ? It’s a shame because they have a good product. I won’t order ever again.
