Came for a birthday dinner. Had a terrific experience, wonderful staff who never interrupted us a single time yet managed to attend to our every need. The food was delicious, we ordered the bolognese and smoked fish with fish roe, Cesar salad with fresh anchovies, soft shell crab, and shrimp with fave bean (highly recommend). The portions were just right, bread was delicious, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The price is just as much as places in downtown Middletown for the main courses and a little more for starters but the quality is an order of magnitude better, really incomparable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menus, when asked about the green dressing he mentioned how he helped the chef pick wild garlic greens, the lettuce for the salad was brought in by a visiting chef coming in from New York. If you’re in the mood for big proportions with a lot of pasta and leaving with some left overs, this is not the place to come to but if you want to sit back and enjoy very well made food, I’d pay this place a visit often as the menu changes.

Really outstanding restaurant with a unique farm-to-table model and seasonal menu. We went here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The dishes here are original and complex, with a lot of flavors going on at once. Not only are the dishes excellent, but the craft cocktails are some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Additionally, the staff are very well-informed as to the best pairings for all menu items, so you really can’t go wrong. We will definitely be coming back for the winter to see what new items they have on the menu!

I’ve been to Grano many times. Most experiences have been outstanding. My mom and I visited in December and decided to splurge with the chefs tasting menu and wine pairings. While the food was delicious, we definitely left the restaurant hungry. Neither our pasta or steak course had more than a couple bites. Not what you’d expect for a $450 bill for two. I’ll give it another try while staying away from that option. Service was amazing, as always.

The food is excellent, although gluten free options were limited. Some of our dishes had issues, such as a lukewarm duck dish or a over salted pasta Bolognese. But the quality of the pasta is amazing and service is very good.

The food, service, and ambiance is absolutely fantastic here! Nicole, our incredible server, went above and beyond when we needed some additional suggestions and modifications to accommodate a very difficult diet (vegetarian and fish allergy).

I came here on a Friday evening and enjoyed our meal! The cocktails were great and all the dishes are prepared with delicate flavors. The menu is on the smaller side because the restaurant is farm-to-table and tries to cook with seasonal ingredients. The one downside was that the acoustics were rather bad, we were seated in the middle of the dining area and had a hard time hearing each other because it was quite loud.

Stepping back in the elegance of time… The fine detailed decor, the salted butter, sipping 18 karats, each dinner was a bouquet of flavor and a beautiful ending of tiramisu. Times have changed yet this is a restaurant that you must make a reservation for. Thank you.

Honestly don’t get all the hype around this place. Wasn’t that impressed. Brought our own wine, $50 corkage fee, didn’t offer to decant it despite it being a 7 year bottle. Found it a little funny that they call themselves “traditional” Italian and don’t offer olive oil with the bread, only butter. (Cultured but nothing special) Only one slice per person or they charge you extra. Very small menu and they have two eggplant appetizers. We were given the wrong one. Was bland either way. Also ordered the Bucatini Cacio to share – was OK. Again pretty bland, and not nearly enough black pepper. Bucatini itself had good texture and definitely seemed made in house and fresh though. Mains were Conchiglie and the half chicken. Pesto / flavor was underwhelming. Chicken dish was tasty however, the lemon and caper sauce was great.
