Lao mein and rice should be improved but the emphasis on the seafood (shrimp and mussels) made up for it. Sweet and sour chicken was also very very good.
Ive been to chinese buffets all around texas and this is my favorite so far. I went on a sunday so your mileage may vary.
The general Tso’s looks very disgusting now and it tastes weird too, like they added onion. Even the fresh ones still taste the same and when I first got there for lunch, the chicken was definitely not fresh, it was leftovers from yesterday I think.
The Spring Rolls are also colder despite being in the heat.
The service there is pretty decent, although some of them might not speak English perfectly, so be aware of that. Atmosphere looks decent too and its very clean, despite the food being bad recently.
Although, the toilets were very disgusting and one of them finally got fixed and it took them like….a year???
Summary: Decent workers and atmosphere is clean but the food is awful now. I wouldn’t go here for a while, hopefully it will be good again.
The food was decent, but I didnt have anything I would call amazing, or that I would specifically return for. Selection was minimal, none of the higher end items, more of your standard offering of Chinese buffet items. The price was affordable, service was good, and drinks were refilled as soon as I left the table.
To be fair, I visited the location late, about an hour before closing. Food wasn’t being brought out, so some items were empty, while other items had been sitting out.. For a medium sized town, this buffet is pretty decent. I would consider giving it another try.
Giving 4 stars because I cant give 3.5.
(Fresh, healthy, great selection and quality vegetable, meat and seafood dishes prepared and seasoned authentically)
The food on the buffet was flat tasting and most had absolutely no seasoning or was just loaded with chili peppers.
The selection of items that fit into the “Asian” category are extremely limited.
Almost everything is fried and from a frozen food company, without question.
The few dishes that did have vegetables in them were disgusting, because they cooked the vegetables into a mushy, off tasting, unappealing mess.
Verdict: Waste of your money, insult to your taste buds and now Panda Express is coming to main street across from HEB.
Hooray!!
My stomach and taste buds will be so happy
Food from 2 steam tables was very cold….when asked about it we were told “new steam tables coming tomorrow ” That’s the same answer we got in November on our last visit.
