First time back here in about 25 years, maybe a bit longer. Where the outside still looks the same the inside is different. Now not sure how long but they offer a small seating area for dine in. I ordered the ham and cheese club with a side of macaroni salad. The Mac had a different style taste to it, not as creamy as I’m used to but still delicious. This club was delicious, watching them make this I noticed the detail from cooking the bacon in their pizza oven, yes you can get yourself a pizza there too. The bread was toasted nicely as well. Kudos to the staff, especially the guy who was directing traffic, not sure if he was the manager or owner however he looked like he took the lead with the shift. Definitely will be back and recommend all to try, if you haven’t been there in a while they would love to have your business. Until next time be blessed and stay safe.

I’ve ordered from Goldstein’s many times and have dined in, always a great experience. I typically do not write reviews but I am blown away by the service and quality from my lunch today when I could see they are short staffed. Everyone working helped take care of our table, the food was delicious (I had the Louisiana Shrimp Melt – do yourself a favor and get it next time) and we’re still handling takeouts, other tables, etc. If I could give them ten stars, I would. If you live anywhere close to Kingston, I recommend stopping in and grabbing a meal. Also – extensive craft beer selection and Bloody Mary was on point.

I’ve been getting hoagies from this place for the last 2 years and I can say the quality has dropped drastically recently. The hoagies are bland, put together oddly, super expensive for sub par subs. And if you still decide to order from this place, stay away from the chicken wing dip. It’s literally canned chicken dry as hell with some hot sauce mixed in. Disgusting. $40 for 2 very mediocre hoagies and mystery chicken wing dip. Sad. I’ll be making the drive to vinos where you never have to guess what you’ll be getting, instead of a 30 second walk down the road from now on.

Been eating their sandwiches since I was young. Went inside the other day and dajavue. There was enough of the old feeling to make me remember eating pastrami on rye in the back. The people were the nicest.

The restaurant still has the name Goldstein’s but is also operating under a new name. I’ve eaten here since the late 90s and the menu changes that have been made have ruined it for me. If you have not eaten there recently I would recommend checking the menu out to see if it is still to your liking.

We were waited on by some silly and immature waiter. He walked to the table with his order pad and pen, but then didn’t use it. No problem, we ordered a Margherita pizza band BLT platter, not hard to remember right? Apparently not. He brought a white pizza with Parmesan cheese and BLT with no fries or slaw. We simply said this is not a Margherita p(There was no other customers in the place). His reaction was typical of an entitled GenX’er, “that’s a Margherita pizza, we put spinach on all of them. But here’s the kicker. He brings the bill and there’s a cash price and a credit price. I tipped 20% on the cash price which was listed- $47.00… $57 right? The goof comes back and throws $7 on the table and says “No, I’m good”. So apparently he can’t read or add. He probably put the credit price in the register. Note to owner: he undercharged on the sandwich and overcharged on the booze. I would keep my eye on him.

Place has really gone downhill. Used to love the food but now it’s garbage. Family ordered food and it tasted horrible and stale. When called to complain, staff was rude and refused to believe the quality wasn’t good. Not worth the high prices and would never return because of how they handled the situation. If a customer doesn’t like the quality of given food, a well established place should take the initiative to correct it not blame the customer.
