Wow! This place was amazingly unpleasant. First it was unmaintained, bars of food were dirty and some empty. The floor had food and the ice cream area was dripping away and dirty. Staff didn’t really interact with us but not much to say other than the place was in need of serious organization and cleaning. I give it a one star because there’s nothing less.

This Golden Corral was in Gallup, NM. There were a few different items on the menu than at other Golden Corrals. The food was alright, but the kitchen staff didn’t seem to be able to keep up with the demand, which wasn’t really that much. I asked about the meatloaf and was told they were getting to it. Twenty minutes later as I was leaving I noticed they still hadn’t refilled the item. I can find better places to eat for $20.

Here’s what you actually get:
1. I asked for $10 cash back — they gave me $5 and claimed the other $5 were taken as “tips.” That’s not tipping; that’s taking money without consent.
2. Dirty tables everywhere. Not “busy” dirty — neglected dirty.
3. The buffet selection is barely half of what a real Golden Corral offers.
4. At 11 AM, right when they opened, some trays already had yesterday’s leftovers. Completely unacceptable.
5. The food quality isn’t even in the same universe as the actual Golden Corral standard.
This location is a complete failure.
Do yourself a favor: stop at a gas station and grab a sandwich.
It will be cleaner, fresher, and more honest than what they serve here.

Food was ok, most was barely room temperature and they were out of Coke. My husband and I had to wait for potatoes and green beans…really? The service was great and for Tuesday evening it was extremely loud with multiple tables screaming and laughing. The dessert bar was a HUGE disappointment. They had very little in the means of choices and the ice cream machine was out of order. They had plenty of sugar free options but in all my years of going to buffets, I’ve never met anyone who eats the sugar free jello or pudding. They also had multiple “chocolate dipped” items but not sure when they were dipped and they were very unappealing.

We went and we had Turkey mashed potatoes. Sweet potatoes, gravy or super super yummy. The people were so friendly. We would love to be close to A. Golden Corral, but where we live. We don’t have one I think we would go every day.

Waited 15 minutes for a table to be wiped and cleaned. The cook had to come out and clean tables for the customers. Waitress was rude. I think they kept their tables dirty so they didn’t have any one seated in their section. Had to wait for the food because they were mostly empty on everything I wanted.. I love coming here but recently it hasn’t been great.

This place had no meatloaf, steak,prime rib, shrimp and other items. They only had fried chicken and dried up pot roast. I’ve been to a lot of GCB this place they need to step up.

Horrible experience. It smelled like the plumbing was backed up. Pot roast was dry and corn was sitting in very low brown colored liquid. Overall it was enough to make you lose your appetite and walk out. Never again.

The food was very dry and hard during the time we went between 4-5 pm. The steak was supposed to already be out but we were told they only had pork steak at the time. So I said why are we paying extra if the steak wasn’t out. The other entrees were hard on top and not stirred. The GM was just chit chatting in the dessert area and there was several things missing in the salad area. All I can say is do better. Customer service seem absent while most employees did whatever as did the GM. Do NOT recommend!
