Tried this place for the first time and honestly, probably the last. We got seated right away, which was nice, but from the moment we sat down, we felt rushed. It was a Sunday just before noon, and the place was almost full. Parking was easy though, since it’s in a plaza with plenty available spots. .Our waitress handed us the menus and immediately asked if we were ready to order… seriously? We had just sat down and even mentioned it was our first time there. She came back like five minutes later and asked again, so we felt pressured to order. Because of the rush, she misunderstood my order, I asked for cola de res en salsa, and she brought me sancocho de cola instead. She also didn’t mention that the small size of the sancocho doesn’t come with any sides, which would’ve been helpful to know. The food was a letdown too. The chicharrones had zero flavor, tasted like they just threw them in a pan without any seasoning at all. On top of that, the vibe from the staff was super cold. No one seemed happy to be there, and the customer service was just bad all around. We were really hoping for a better experience. The prices are fair, but with service like that, it’s just not worth it. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be back

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and it was a great value for the price.
I’d definitely visit again!

I ordered pick up and for my surprise the food was tasteless. No salt no season tasteless rice and beens not even mention the eggs that didn’t have salt the arepa felt like it was made out of plastic.
I understand the inflation and the cost have gone up but rise the prices and lower the food quality is just a disrespect with your costumer not to mention the audacity of calling that a Colombian dish.
It was one of our favorite places to go but not anymore.

Great Colombian food. I came for the first time on a Tuesday for lunch looking for some warm and hearty meal. This restaurant was busy for lunch, but has a good amount of tables and a big counter to order to go. The service was also pretty good the entire time I was there.
We first started with some beef Colombian empanadas which they were really good with the picante.
We also order the house oatmeal water which was also pretty good (needed a bit more sugar for my taste) .
For lunch I had the beef sancocho with rice and it was packed of beef, potatoes, corn and plantain. The broth was very tasty as well. Definitely recommend.
My son had the kids chicken tenders and fries which I thought it was a pretty big plate , he enjoyed it as well.
Definitely recommend and will be back to try the dinner options.

I had a very disappointing experience at La Placita. The service was extremely poor — slow, inattentive, and unprofessional. We waited far too long to be acknowledged, and when we finally did get service, it felt rushed and careless. The staff didn’t seem interested in providing a welcoming experience at all. For a place that looks like it should offer good vibes and hospitality, it completely missed the mark. I would not recommend coming here if you expect decent customer service.

Food is always fresh. Service can be a bit slow but not always since there is always people in and out But totally worth to wait a few minutes.

I’ve been coming to this Columbian Bakery for over 10 years, Im being frankly honest this is the best Colombian breakfast spot You will ever visit. (I’ve tried many believe me)
My favorite dish is el calentado completo and bandeja paisa. Oliver pastries are amazing too they make great potatoes as well. Their coffee is ok but if you are a Cuban coffee drinker you must tell them very distinctly that you want it oscuro. If you come here on the weekends it’s very very busy and you will wait and it’s very hard for the servers to attend everyone they get overwhelmed with so many tables, it’s that good that everyone comes here. 10/10 ❤️

We came to try some authentic Colombian bakery and when I tell you RUN dont walk, RUN! It’s so fresh and delicious, lots of variety that you don’t see in other Colombian restaurants/bakeries. Liliana Cortez was very helpful and took care of us within moments of walking in. she was fast and friendly. Definitely coming back to try more stuff!

I really love the food and the place, but I have to be honest — some of the women working there seem to give attitude when they see another woman. It’s disappointing. We should be supporting each other, not sizing each other up.
I still tip well — sometimes even more than the men you serve. It’s 2025, let’s do better. We’re all here to make money and uplift one another.
And by the way, I’m Latina too — we should stand together, not compete.

It is a place with decent food, but the place has a dirty and neglected appearance, it is the type of place where it is noticed that due to the high flow of people it wears out quickly and they do not invest in their repairs or conditioning, dark ceilings with moisture with grease as well as the blinds, the decoration is a combined disaster of traditional and sporty, and the smell is not said more, you sit there and go out smelling like food, I recommend the food but not the location or internal consumption
