My fiancé and I stopped by this Golden Chick tonight 12/09/2025, and while the food itself was alright, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.
We arrived at 6:08 PM, and even though there were no customers ahead of us at the counter, we stood there for 6-8 minutes with no acknowledgment because the staff was too busy playing, laughing, and joking around in spanish about something going on in the drive-thru. My fiance is Hispanic, she said they were laughing and joking about a customer leaving mad because they didnt get the correct change but left their food there. Several employees were focused on their conversation instead of the customers waiting to order.
When we finally placed our order, the confusion began. My fiancé ordered a 3-piece with two legs and a thigh, and I ordered a 3-piece with three legs. The employee “checked” and told us they only had three thighs left, so we adjusted everything and I changed my order to the 4-piece tenders. A few minutes later, she came to the counter and got our attention and said they actually didn’t have any thighs at all, only breasts and one leg. The constant back-and-forth made it clear there was poor communication and no awareness of what items were actually available.
The food itself tasted fine — my spicy tenders were heavily seasoned for most people, but I enjoyed them and the rolls were great. The issue wasn’t the food; it was the process. The unprofessional behavior, especially joking about an upset customer leaving their food, the delay, and the confusion created a frustrating experience.
Because of the slow service and employees continuing to joke around instead of helping customers, I was nearly late getting back to class by 7:00 PM, even though we arrived with plenty of time. What should have been a quick stop ended up taking much longer than necessary.
I feel like this location has potential, but the customer service and communication need serious improvement.

My mother wanted fish for lunch and suggested Golden Chick. Happiness certainly didn’t lie within my box. Is food served in a box ever good… maybe but not this time. Waiting at the counter for a minute or so with no acknowledgement was a problem for me. My fish combo with corn nuggets was terrible. The thin fish filet offered very little meat and was disappointing, the corn nuggets were dry (tasting like they were a day or so old) & the roll didn’t taste like the good fresh Golden Chick rolls that we love. The restaurant wasn’t the cleanest. One good thing was the sports bar vibe. Not that it matters to me but for others, maybe. They offer patio seating but there’s not much to look at. Needless to say this wasn’t a good experience for me at all. My mother enjoyed her fish and cole slaw which she mentioned wasn’t as sweet as some others. As much as I love to clean my plate, I couldn’t clean that box . I have no intentions on returning because I shouldn’t have to request fresh food!

Just left this location. When did Golden Chick close to the public to have a private party during regular business hours(9:30pm)? Just left they were having a party with music inside. Door was locked and someone had parked their car in the drive through so no one could go through. This was very strange.

The regular chicken drumsticks are fried to perfection! I’m just licking the crumbs off of my fingers so I can type this! Delicious food okra and roll as well! The sweet tea is amazing and….. AND you can get a free vanilla ice cream cone for dessert!
Overall, 6 . Great service at the counter, nice atmosphere inside! And, uh… free ice cream- with a purchase of course. I just asked and you cannot walk in off the street and get one!

This location is pretty good for the most part, it just depends on which manager is on duty for the day that determines how the service is going to be. The employees are nice most of the time and the food is always fresh, even if you have to wait a few minutes.

So today I went to Golden Chick for the first time. I heard the boneless wings were good, so I got the Korean BBQ boneless wing combo. I also got ranch on the side. I ate half of my meal as you can see. Each wing as I ate it, was dipped in ranch so I didn’t notice anything off about the taste, or that it was slightly cold. The rest of my boneless wings I cut apart because I just felt like cutting them up. I then saw this…raw chicken. I called the establishment to check if it was actually raw, or it was precooked and maybe just not heated long enough. Unfortunately for me (my stomach) it was raw. That means I ate half of my meal, and it was raw…
The kind person I spoke to was more interested in how much of my meal I ate, instead of my health for eating raw chicken.

This location is a god send! I’ve had terrible experience with the other location down the street. But this one was amazing. I had my food literally in less than a minute and had no issues it was great! The place was clean and in very good shape. I’m gonna be making this one my regular and I eat Golden Chick a few times a week. Thank you to this location for all their hard work!
