I love a good local deli and bagel spot! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted, and Teama and some of the other staff helped me. The place was busy. I ordered:
Hazelnut coffee
Chicken tenders and fries
Whole wheat flagel turkey bacon egg and cheese
Mexican Tuna
Turkey on a hoagie
I really loved that Mexican tuna! Everything was great all in all!

We had a great experience at this place. If you are looking for an authentic Jewish delicatessen and sandwich shop this one is a good bet. We ordered the five W. Orange and the South Orange sandwich. They were both super fresh and on excellent Rye bread. We also took home some bagels which were amazing, as well as some bagel chips. The French fries came out super and although I’ve seen Price as an issue at this place, And it is an issue at every place lately, the quality of the food and quantity was well worth the price. They have Brown’s sodas which I personally have always loved since trying them for the first time in New York City when I was small. Pretty cultured for a Puerto Rican from Jersey. LOL. The place had great atmosphere and the service was fast. There is on street parking as well as a few public parking lots available close to this place. There is outdoor seating both on the side of the building as well as in the front. The place overall was wheelchair accessible and they have a big family style bathroom which could be considered accessible. Give it a try if you are in the Milburn area which includes the surrounding towns of, union, West Orange, short Hills and Elizabeth or the other oranges are not far off. I believe they close at 3 PM so it’s more like a breakfast brunch and lunch place.

THIS IS THE BEST DELI IN ESSEX COUNTY!
I got a pastrami and swiss on a roll with mustard. OH MY GOD! The pastrami was so tender it was like I didn’t even need to chew it. It was FANTASTICALLY delicious. If you have a chance I beg you to visit Goldberg’s! You will not be disappointed! You cannot go wrong here! Good God that was delicious!

The latkes were GREAT — super crispy and flavorful! Unfortunately, my blueberry bagel had way too much butter on it. I didn’t notice until I got home (I ordered it to go), but the butter completely overpowered the taste of the bagel, and I could barely eat it. I understand using more butter if the bagel wasn’t toasted, but this one was, so it really didn’t need that much. I’ll definitely give it another try because everything else looked great — just hoping for a lighter hand with the butter next time!

I love their hot pastrami with coleslaw and Russian dressing. The prices are on the expensive side, but it’s worth it. Parking is extremely difficult but I love the iced coffee.
it is also a little bit tough to navigate where you pay versus where you wait for the food for pick up. It gets kinda congested, but there are tables to sit down and eat inside as well as outside if it’s not too hot which I would recommend.

I ordered on door dash and I’ve never had an issue before, they sent me the wrong bagel and on top of that I found hair In the bagel, two pieces of brown hair. I felt like vomiting, whoever is working there isn’t covering their hair. This is unhygienic, I called to speak with a manager and she was nice. Hopefully this never happens to anyone else

Bagels were nice and chewy
Love sesame toasted with cream cheese. They lightly toasted it. Made the cream cheese melty, gave the bagel a nice crisp edge, and left the middle still chewy. Next time I’ll order a little bit heavy on the cream cheese. But still a solid bagel. I just like a bit more filling.
Also can’t wait to dig into the peice of chocolate crumb cake I’m saving for a bit later.

As an Adam Sandler fan, I really want to love this place. I have been there 5 times and they messed up my order 4 times. I don’t like waiting for Millburn Deli to open at 9, and I don’t like waiting in a long line at Bagels 4 U, but both of those options are better than Goldberg’s. The place is a mess.

Hostess with the mostess at the cashier made my experience even better. Food was great, came out quick and delivered. And don’t get me started on the freshly squeezed orange juice. 10/10
