Dabangg Sandwich:
The chutneys look like green paint.
The potato filling was bland.
The red chutney was smelling like it was going bad.
4 thick slices of bread and soggy mushy tasteless goop all around the crust inside.
It was not even grilled properly and they took almost one hour to make it.
Club Sandwich:
They add sweet chutney inside.
The manager has the audacity to tells us that club sandwich obviously has sweet chutney inside and that is how club sandwich should be made.
Simple Google search is necessary.
Dahi puri:
The sev is adulterated with rice flour and color. It’s not besan sev.
Extremely hard to eat and tasteless.
As you can see there was hardly any Dahi in Dahi puri.
Pani Puri:
Overcooked peas puree with no flavor or salt.
The pani was contrasting with extreme amounts of salt. We had to dilute it water from the jug.
Potato mix and peas were tasteless.
Ragda Pattice:
Overcooked peas puree and overdose of chutneys with dahi.
Flavorless again.
They might be adding color to their pani and green chutney.
The decatur location also add color to pani to make it white.
The saving grace of the entire experience was Garlic Naan and Paneer Kadai.
I used to love the chole bhature here.
It does not taste the same anymore while the Decatur location has maintained the taste.
I sincerely hope they start making changes to the recipes if want to stay in business.
They need to standardize it with how it is normally made instead of ridiculous personal choices like adding sweet chutney and Aloo tikki to club sandwiches.
It does not feel good when the manager there always responds with ridiculous enlarged eyes, angry behavior and dramatic mannerisms.
There has to be some professionalism in the service industry.
Customers do not come to eat for free that the manager has to behave with so much Drama for everything.
We have to bear all this along with terrible food and long wait times.
We expect a level of decency and basic food standards for the money we pay.
Owners need to look into many of these issues seriously.
Manager needs a serious reality check on many aspects and definitely a lot of attitude adjustment.
I used to bring my friends and family here.
Me and my friends will longer be giving them our business.
It’s counter service and they’re usually quick. The vibe is very “India canteen”. It’s lively, a bit no-frills on cleanliness. They’ve use-and-throw plates and spoons, plus self-serve water in jugs.
Bottom line: tasty food, fast service, great for casual chaat cravings.
However the food is average in taste.
We recently ordered dahi vada, it was all soaked in water and they put it in dahi before packing it.
The quantities for the curries were kid meal quantities
We came here after a long time. Will never visit here is a long time!!
We got 2 lb mixed sweets and shakarpada ( snacks ) and ordered dokhla and pao bhaji for dining .
Shakarpada had a horrible oily after taste.
The mixed sweets ( ladoo , peda , chamcham etc ) tasted just like the ones kept in grocery’s cold section. It hardly felt like freshly made.
Dhokla was a bummer – I can make better than what they served me and I am called a horrible cook. And who tops dhokla with a kg of nylon mixture ?? Guys , this one should be named as disappointment and not dhokla ..
The bhaji in pao bhaji was a saver as it tasted the way it should taste . But the dish was spoiled with sweet buns ..
That green chutney was surely chemical mixed in fridge cold water 🙁
Wondering who is cooking in their kitchen responsible for my sheer waste of 60 dollars .
Dining area is awfully dirty and I wiped my table myself – I rated service as 5 for the sweet women on mithai counter who patiently helped us . The rest were pain .
