I had a fantastic brunch at Glenda’s Creole Kitchen! The meatball stew was incredible, and the bread pudding was a must-try. Our server, Hannah, was so attentive and made sure our drinks were always full, even remembering a special request for my friend. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming – perfect for a relaxing meal. The quality of the food and the exceptional service was amazing.
We also dined in on a Sunday and the BBQ was delicious. I’ll definitely be back for the blackberry sweet dough pie.

Always on the lookout for good local cooking, I stumbled upon Glenda’s Creole kitchen. Never decisive, I was able to get both the smothered ribs and the red beans and sausage with two sides, corn and white beans. The woman who served me was patient and helpful as she described what some of the options were.

For $12, I got a large plate of food that will give me at least one other meal. The rib was delicious with a good amount of meat on the bone and the beans and sausage were equally flavorful.

If you’re looking for fancy atmosphere or someplace romantic, this is not the place to go. If you’re more interested in good food than decor, the rustic, homey and somewhat chaotic atmosphere is perfect.

Thankfully, their visit by Anthony Bourdain has not seemed to change their way of doing business.

Beautiful, spacious venue—perfect for any event. But the real highlight is the owner, who truly goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly. Exceptional service and an exceptional space. Highly recommend!

I learned about this place from Mr. ChimeTime on Instagram. Today, I was passing thru Breaux Bridge and I just had to stop to check them out. This place is truly a hidden gem. Ms. Glenda herself held the door open for me to come in and greeted me with the warmest smile. I ordered the Smothered Pork Chops over rice and gravy with Green beans and a garden salad. I also grabbed a slice of homemade lemon cake and my total came to $17. The young lady serving the food was so nice and sweet as well. I loved everything about this place.

Now, let’s get down to the FOOD!!!!!!! If I go anywhere and there’s smothered pork chops on the menu, then that’s what I’m ordering. Ms. Glenda’s smothered pork chops were by far the best I ever had!!!!! Those pork chops were so flavorful and tender, with a slight kick which I loved. The green beans were good too. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any salad dressing for my salad, but I still ate it anyway. Lol I licked my plate clean!!!! Do you hear me? Not to mention, the lemon cake was so soft, moist, and delicious.

Everything was a 10/10. That plate didn’t stand a chance. It was demolished before I even made it to my destination. If I didn’t have somewhere to be, I would have turned around and gotten another plate to take home. I’m so glad I learned about this place. It’s in the middle of nowhere but I’ll definitely be stopping by whenever I’m in the area. It’s worth the hour drive from Baton Rouge!!!!!!

Excellent meal and service. Had the Catfish Coubillion. Seasoning was spot on. Catfish fresh. Potato salad and beans good. Had cake for dessert that tasted like my grandmas. Will come back.

If you’re in the area or live 20 hours away, this food is worth the drive. I drove from almost Chicago to eat the food here and it did not disappoint! I ordered my food to go, and after taking a small bite from each item I immediately went back inside and ordered even more than I originally planned. I hope this place is in business for many years to come! A forever customer has been made!
