Had lunch here with my team today and loved it. The food at Evarista’s Comal was AMAZING. We had the rockfish tacos and the birria, both were so good and the homemade tortillas were next level.
The service made it even better. The owner and his son greeted us and took care of our table, which made the whole experience feel really welcoming and personal.
Such a great spot for authentic, delicious food and genuinely kind people. We’ll definitely be back highly recommend!

This place was amazing! I brought my mom here to kick off our mother daughter vacay and was blown away! All of our plates were delicious. Service was incredible and this place looks small on the outside but they have so much seating and the cutest patio for brunch! In love and will definitely be back many times!

In my opinion, this place deserves no less than 100 out of 10 stars.
Of course the food was great, but really what makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you can feel the family presence and energy. I’m beyond shocked that this place wasn’t absolutely packed on a Sunday morning.
The coffee was PHENOMENAL — better than anywhere else I’ve had. You can tell that the hollandaise sauce was made fresh. The avocado was perfect. The portions were just right, enough to fill you up but not enough to make you feel wasteful or like you needed to take leftovers.
Breakfast food is always just breakfast food at the end of the day, but you cannot fake or replicate the genuine atmosphere that this family has created with their restaurant. This is going to be my new favorite weekend spot!!!!

Food was delicious and FRESHLY made. Traveled coastal California for a week and that place had the most delicious and freshly made food. I highly recommend that place. Got fettuccine, gnocchi and Cameron el Diablo and all dishes were cooked to perfection. Stuff is absolutely wonderful.

Had the special Surf and turf tacos in a tomato chipotle sauce. So delicious and authentic Yummy homemade salsa and crispy tortilla chips. Even the iced tea was good- perfectly brewed.
Sat Outside because of the dog. But the place has a cute little atrium area inside to dine in. Super close to the beach so worth a stop in before you go back into town.

We had such a wonderful meal at this delightful family run, and owned Mexican place. We tried two of their sauces and one salsa although to be honest it was more of a beautiful chunky hot sauce. Salsa Macha. Amazingly delicious quesabirria tacos. A profound spicy bloody Mary. And the nicest folks. This is a great place to come and have a delicious through the authentic somehow seemingly home-cooked Mexican meal. You won’t be disappointed.

Imagine my pure joy when I found a place that offers vegan, vegetarian AND regular food. My whole family was able to eat as this restaurant had options to accommodate our dietary needs. We showed up 2 hours before closing and we were greeted and seated by the owner himself. Because we missed the rush he kindly told us the history of his mother and the restaurant when we asked. He also cooked our food which was DELICIOUS! I wish I could have taken pictures of everything he prepared but my family gobbled it up before I had a chance! Evaristas Fettuccine Pasta was the star of the show. Our daughter talked about how amazing it tasted for days afterwards and even brought it up again on the plane ride home! If you’re in the area this is definitely a place to pop by and have a bite to eat. The front patio is a little small but the inside is roomy and the indoor/outdoor space in the back is lovely and beautifully decorated.
