That grilled cheese was so tasty after a day on the slopes! They really make tasty sandwiches and have a good beer selection. It does get busy and can be cold on the lower floor.

One of my favorite ski spots! Midway up the mountain is a “dive” ski bar. Has great local VT beers and they have the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had called the eggsterminator but only from 10-11 and then after 11 they have delicious grilled cheeses! They also have really good bloody Marys and hot chocolates. Totally worth a stop inside if you’re up at Mount Ellen! Wait staff is also really friendly!

So tasty! Given the fine but standard food at the lodge at the bottom of Mt Ellen, we were not expecting how tasty the food was on the mountain. Great variations on grilled cheese (the mountain goat was fantastic) and a couple of grain bowls. Nice selection of beer too. Only issue is that it can get very crowded, but worth fighting for a table.

Some of the finest beer from VT and some of the tastiest food ever considering they are making it on top of a mountain with limited resources and space. Gets a tad crowded, but worth the fight to get in.

Great place to take a break and get some amazing food and drink while riding some of the best trails in the east!

This classic mid mountain lodge at Mt Ellen at Sugarbush Ski resort matches the rest of the ski area which we much prefer over the main part of the resort. It is quite old and dated but is really quaint.
We stopped in to warm up on Avery cold day to warm up, drink some water and have a quick snack. It was crowded like usual on a Saturday but we were able to quickly find a seat by joining another couple on the upper floor where the bar and food canteen are. We didn’t buy any food but we’re able to warm up and get back out skiing. There is a nice sized outdoor deck for use once the temperature goes up a little. Enjoy.

Best place for a beer and some warm food on the mountain. My favorite thing to do is to get a grill cheese and a Sip of Sunshine. Can get a bit crowded on the weekend so either stop by early or wait for the lunch to settle down before you swing by. Hopefully you can get lucky and get a seat by the bar. If it is a warm day, they also have seating outside which can be good.

Nothin like grabbing a beer at the mid mountain lodge. This place gets jam packed but you can usually find a seat if you’re patient. The 2 ladies working the bar are great. Cant go wrong with the grilled cheese. Only complaint is the bathroom – yikes.

Attended tour de moon event and we skinned up to the Glen House after lifts closed. A great trip up, good food, beer, and new adventure friends, and a thrilling ski down in the dark. Look on the Sugarbush events calendar for more of these events.
