I’ve ordered a few times since this review and the quality was much improved. I still think they could use a touch more patience before cutting and sending a pizza out for delivery to avoid the cheese shifting and making a mess, but the pizza is good.
I also tried the chicken parm hero and it was pretty good, though maybe could use just a touch more sauce.

It’s a shame. When this pizza is good, it’s very good. Excellent even. But they seem to have a consistency problem and rush their food out of the door. Latest delivery looked like this (sorry, picture of individual slice is a bit dark). They did offer to remake the pizza, but it was still edible just substandard for the price they charge. And I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes to eat. Would have taken a credit toward my next order or something, but apparently that wasn’t possible. I guess I won’t be ordering from them again.

I have gone there twice now. I was hesitant the first time given some of the reviews, the second time, no hesitancy at all.
Both times the food was delicious. Well prepared, temperature of the good was spot on and quantity was plentiful.
We ordered off the everyday menu and special menu both times, each was equally delicious.
The service staff was attentive and the place was clean. I’ll be going there again.

This was our first time eating in this casual sit down pizzeria. We ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp (which should have had more than three shrimp for the $5 extra), seafood fra diavolo, stuffed artichokes, fresh, hot bread, dessert and coffee. Overall, everything was very good. The staff was personable and attentive and prices were reasonable. We will definitely return.

I visited Giovanni’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Patchogue this evening. Before going in, I checked Google reviews and saw one from a week ago claiming the place was dark, quiet, the food was stale, and the chicken was horrible. Honestly, a calm, dim atmosphere is exactly what many people want when dining out.
After reading several positive reviews, I decided to try it for myself—and I’m glad I did.
I ordered chicken cacciatore, even though it wasn’t on the menu, and they happily made it. It was outstanding: tender chicken, perfectly seasoned peppers, flavorful onions—absolutely amazing. After eating, I spoke with Sal, the owner, and suggested adding it to the regular menu. He said others have requested it too.
As for that negative review, some people don’t realize how damaging their comments can be to a small business. The reviewer also claimed they saw an employee drop a stromboli on the floor and put it back in the showcase. What they didn’t mention is that the stromboli that fell—on the tray—was immediately thrown out. Everything is made fresh to order.
I highly recommend not letting one insensitive review influence you. Try Giovanni’s for yourself. My experience was fantastic.

Just ordered dinner from this restaurant, after waiting inside for 25-30 after my order said it would be ready. I got home to find the soggiest pizza I’ve ever had/seen in my life along With wings that I kid you not, when I tell you they are so over cooked they were inedible and harder than a rock. I also received Caesar dressing instead of blue cheese for my wings. The only thing that was cooked ok was the Mozzarella sticks.

The place is quiet and dark, takes forever to get your order when the place is empty. Food is stale and chicken is horrible. This is my Cesar salad w dried old cheese and spinach no romaine. And I witnessed someone drop a Stromboli on the floor and they picked it up and still used it and put it on display. Garlic knots are good.
