Rising from its sister restaurant in Downtown Dadeland, Ghee Wynwood continues the Ghee legacy at its original home. Ghee means PURE and has a symbolic meaning both spiritually and in the kitchen of an Indian home. The restaurant encompasses traditional Indian home cooking, ingredient-driven using local artisan purveyors. Chef Niven highlights the experience of dining at Ghee: I want my guests to walk into Ghee with the sense of entering my home. I want them to feel at home. I want them to smell the aromas and spices and get more engaged in their meal.

The service was amazing, the combination of flavours in each dish were so unique and complemented each other in a lovely way, making each dish stand out and elevated from the traditional flavours.
Our waiters, Oswaldo and Ivan, were impeccable in their service, both very friendly and attentive to us throughout the night, explaining the dishes and answering our questions all night.
Truly recommend this place if you want good quality food that feels like home while living a new experience.
**The crispy broccoli is an absolute must!!!
Mike, the GM, personally came by our table to greet us and wish us a wonderful meal, which was such a thoughtful touch and really set the tone for the evening.
The cocktails from Victor were delicious. Each of us had two, and every drink was perfectly balanced and expertly made.
We did the 13-plate sampler, and everything was portioned beautifully. Every dish was incredible, full of flavor, and thoughtfully presented. We left feeling completely satisfied and impressed.
While the food and drinks were amazing, the real star of the night was definitely Eli. An unforgettable dining experience all around. Highly recommend.
Papaya Salad (6/10)
This one wasn’t my favorite, but that’s mostly on me. I was expecting something closer to a Thai-style papaya salad, so the taste and texture weren’t what I had in mind. It was still refreshing and well prepared, just not exactly what I was looking for.
Potato Samosas (9/10)
These were so good. Perfectly crisp, clearly handmade, and very well seasoned. Honestly, almost too seasoned, which is hard for me to say because I love bold flavor. There were a couple bites where I thought it could be dialed back slightly. I wasn’t crazy about the cilantro dipping sauce paired with how seasoned they already were, but the sweet chutney balanced everything beautifully. That combo really worked.
Lamb Kerala (Day 1: 7.5–8/10 | Day 2: 12/10)
My server suggested the lamb neck instead, but I went with the karala. On day one, the lamb itself was good, but the sauce felt like it was missing just a little something. I asked for more heat and was brought a small bottle of what I was told was Iranian hot sauce. It was very hot, but it elevated the dish immediately.
I took most of it home and tried it again the next day. Completely different experience. The flavors had soaked into the meat and rice, and the spice level was perfect. Not a full 180, but close. I almost licked the plate. Leftover lamb kerala is elite.
Brie & Truffle Naan (10/10)
I ordered this because it was newer and highly recommended. I love brie and truffle, so it was an easy yes. It’s rich, very rich, so I could only manage a few bites. But paired with the fruit chutney, it was chef’s kiss. Sweet, savory, earthy. Really well done.
Service was excellent. I believe my server’s name started with a J….maybe Jordan or Justin. He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful with recommendations.
The ambiance, music, and presentation were all on point. This is some of the better Indian food I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll definitely be back to try more.
Highly recommend. Especially if you’re willing to take leftovers home — apparently that’s where the magic happens.
If there’s one thing that could make the experience even better, it would be adding a few more vegan options to the menu. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Highly recommend Ghee for the food, service, and the ambience!
The service was also extremely good, and the setting is very nice. Highly recommended!
Recommendation: I highly recommend this place if you’re in the Wynwood walls in Miami.
