Applebees Grill & Bar has established a nationwide following built around the concept of “Eating GOOD in the NEIGHBORHOOD.” This tradition is being served wonderfully at the 2450 Coolidge Rd – East Lansing Michigan location!! Today, I had the French Onion Soup and it was amazing!! My server, Ramona, was also awesome as she checked the calorie count for me (Only 360 calories btw…) and served me promptly and with a smile! It’s definitely worth your effort to pay a regular visit to this Applebees store! Ask for Ramona!!

I ordered a chicken bacon ranch meal. Bun over cooked and hard. Chicken dry and old. Fries gross. I never would have served it to anyone myself as the cook. The other meals we ordered were great. One being chicken n shrimp dish and the other a custom cheese burger with fresh fries unlike what was on my plate, I compared. 2 of 3 happy, 1 not so much. Did not take any newer photos as my plate was not photo worthy.

I don’t usually write reviews but our server Sierra was amazing! She was so kind and attentive. Our drinks were never empty and our food came quickly and any accommodations we needed were met immediately by her. Could not have asked for better service, best i’ve had in a long time! I will for sure be requesting to sit in her section for the future!

Usually I enjoy applebees whenever I’ve eaten inside their restaurant, however I have come to realize that this applebees does not use fresh ingredients. I ordered two chicken balsamic strawberry salads to-go. One of them I ate that night, and the next I was going to eat the day after for lunch. I stored both in my fridge, but after only about 18 hours the strawberries were moldy, and due to my sensitive gut health I didnt want to risk eating it, so I had to throw the whole thing away. Otherwise the staff is super friendly, but it makes me wonder what else they aren’t replacing/keeping fresh and makes me cautious to return to the restaurant if what I’m paying for might make me sick.

We dined at Applebee’s mostly because our usual haunts were about to close as it was getting late. We had a great experience! Our server was super friendly and helped me pick out a really good dish. The atmosphere is really nice, unexpectedly so. My dish was excellent and the draft beer menu was very good. We’ll return for sure.
