Southern Style Georgia Bob’s Barbecue Company featured on BBQ Pitmasters. Welcome to Georgia Bob’s Barbecue Company! Where did it all begin? At the historical Peach Festivals of the 1920s! Thanks to the dedication and talents of the special people like Robert Cherry Evans (Georgia Bob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings), barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s original Brunswick Stew recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today. We are one of many barbecue restaurants around the globe but unlike most we still serve barbecue in that true southern tradition.

Sorry to say, I was very disappointed. We got there and it was pretty much empty (only one table) but after we ordered it filled up and a steady flow of take out.
I got the brisket with sweet potato tots. Partly my fault but I forgot to ask if there was a sauce on the brisket (normally not) but there was. It was a vinegar and tomato base sauce which was sweeter so must have had some sugar in it. But the meat was on the tough and dry side. The sweet potato tots were very obviously processed. They were overly sweet with a ‘fake’/chemical aftertaste. I should have gotten the wings. Maybe that would have changed my mind.
My husband got the same and also the Brunswick stew. He felt pretty much the same about his food. Said the Brunswick stew was way too vinegary.
I used the restroom and was surprised by a women in history display! I was surprised by a couple of the choices.

Drove up after driving 4hrs in heavy rain to grap something before i went to hotel. Ive been coming to Perry for well over 10 years and have eaten here several times, even bought hot sauce to take home. The last 4 times have gotten consistently worse. I wont ever stop here again. Spent $17 on brisket plate with gr beans, slaw. When I pulled in I honestly thought they had closed. Drive thru girl had to ask if they had brisket (on a Sat 4ish) . I asked for hot bbq sauce with it and got 2. Win. Took food to hotel warmed it up. As I was taking off lids of bbq sauce they gave a little pop sound. 40 yrs in F&B I knew immediatly it was bad.. little taste confirmed it. Slaw was warm, gr beans so salty I couldnt eat them, the four bites that was in the tiny styrofoam cup
Trashed all but the meat that was tough and with no sauce. Tried to call 6x and no one ever answered. DONT waste your time or money. Will be calling corporate Monday. So disappointing.

I had my hopes up, love BBQ restaurants but sadly it missed the mark.
Got the pulled pork, potato salad and pickles. Could have had more flavor all around, and easier on the vinegar.

Okay, we’d never been to Georgia Bobs,, but will now have to make it a stop in our annual Perry, GA trip! The homemade seasoned pork skins are worth it alone! Loved the BBQ salad with pulled pork, and got a side of sweet potato tots to round out the meal. Amazing y’all…stop in and give it a try!

On our way home we discovered this resturaunt. By far one of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. This place is now our family pit stop every time go back home. The ribs fall of the bone and the smoked chicken is AMAZING!!!

This place is a surprise! They make their own sauce. The food was really good and we came right before close! We tried the chicken, ribs, smoked sausage and pulled pork. All above average. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area.
