Food 10/10. I had the steak medium well it was cooked perfectly, juicy, and tender, season two perfection. Even the macaroni was seasoned perfectly. The sweet potato mash was a 10 out of 10 I also had a cup of the duck and sausage gumbo. Run! Do not walk run!Grab a bowl do not be like me and get that small cup as a tease because it was absolutely delicious! And I also got it with a side of potato salad out of curiosity, and it was absolutely amazing! The drinks, the atmosphere the outdoor and the musician were everything that night. Definitely a vibe, and I am literally sitting in a parking lot, ordering the exact same thing as I ordered last weekend.

I rarely write reviews, but I had an awful experience at Georgia Blue in Starkville. I chose the location for lunch because the food is usually good and they have a beautiful patio space for outside seating. It was a 70 degree sunny day. When I arrived I asked the hostess if they were seating outside. She made it sound as if I needed to go ask the bartender if he felt like having tables outside, but when I went to go, she said she would ask. She came back and said that they were NOT seating outside so we were seated inside. Our waitress immediately got our drink and food orders. We waited 50 minutes on a catfish blue plate! The waitress was not very concerned and said the kitchen was to blame. In my experience, a blue plate is usually supposed to be a quick option which is why it was chosen for lunch. By the time the food came we barely wanted to eat it, nor had the time. We were on our lunch breaks as many adults in a college town are. The worst part was that when we left there were tables seated outside on the patio. When I asked earlier I was told that was not an option. Absolutely awful experience and we will never be back.

Austin R. and Bryce B. are the backbone of Georgia Blue! Between the two of them checking on my table and being happy to join in on the conversation they made our experience a 15/10!! I would 100% recommend you ask to be sat in either of their sections if you visit! Would definitely come again just to chat with them and enjoy the ambiance and experience!! Will definitely be back asap!

My service and server were terrible, I understand that Mrs. Susan loves Austin because he made it very clear that he “told his manager to take some money off of our check just because he can” and the sad thing is the money the credit we received didn’t effect our bill much because he charged us for things we never even received and I’m allergic to mushrooms which I STATED to Austin, and boom i received exactly that MISHROOMS! So to be honest the money he told the manager to take off didn’t do much but even out bill to be accurate not to be discounted! If you all don’t train Austin properly he is going to be the downfall of your business! I have never in my life had such unprofessional service, and the fact that I was there with my grandmother and girlfriend makes it 100xs worse, I hyped up this restaurant to be let down for sure! I work at a student living property that houses over 1100 residents here in Starkville and I for one WILL NOT promote or advertise any of our visiting parents or prospects to eat at this establishment! In layman terms, my service and food sucked on 9/21/2025 at 2:04pm and my waiters name was Austin, I highly do not recommend eating at Georgia Blue until changes are made! I hope Mrs Susan and Austin can work together and rectify this situation since she is his favorite and obviously can do no wrong! Feel free to reach out to me

In Starkville to do a campus tour. Georgia Blue had good reviews and was close to our hotel so we thought we would give it a try. Slow night so we were sitting without any wait. Once seated, the waiting began. Took 10-15 minutes to get asked if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered a drink from the bar and a glass of water. My daughter ordered a Dr Pepper and a water. Order an appetizer too. After 5 minutes my drink came out. Another 5 minutes and my water and the soda my daughter ordered. No water for her and her drink was coke and not Dr Pepper. Our appetizer arrived, fried crawfish tails and while our waiter was present we order our main courses. Chicken Alfredo and Red Beans and rice. Both were very good. The slices bread points that can with my red beans and rice were very dry, like 3 day old bread but everything else was delicious.
Service didn’t clear used dishes and glass, just added more to the table and allowed the stacked up dirty dishes to remain.

Visited here with someone. It was fairly ok.. We had the bbq nachos as appetizer.. It was good but I’ve had better for less cost. We ordered blues burger with Mac and cheese. The person I was with had one bite and did not want anymore so I ate the remaining as leftovers the following day. It was good for the most part. I ate the Mardi Gras and it was okay but honestly I expected the taste to be better. I will not visit again but appreciated the chance of eating here.

Darling establishment with room for anyone; from a party of one to a party of 130 this is a great place. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was delightful. They have a separate event space that can host a part of 130 with a full bar. The service was exceptional and they had live music Thursday through Saturday nights. They have transportation to and from MSU from their location so this is a perfect game day home base!

Overall the foods were really good.
My GB Shrimp & Grits tasted good. It could’ve been better if it was served warm, but the dish I got was at room temp. My husband’s GB Smothered Chicken was amazing!! Chicken and mashed potatoes was perfect but grilled corns were mushy.
When we went in for dinner at 6:30, the restaurant was fairly empty so service was prompt and the server checked on us regularly. Atmosphere was good.
