Despite going on Valentine’s Day, the service was efficient. The French Onion soup was decent, and so was the quiche lorraine. However, the star of the show is desserts since the opera cake was really good and it was presented well, which makes it a standout from a typical dessert from a restaurant and this restaurant is worth going for the desserts alone despite steep prices.

An unbelievable find in Wichita. We never imagined we would find such great cooking in Wichita. I would put George’s up against the best in Dallas, TX and it would do very well. The service was totally on point. Our server knew all the intimate details about the food, wine and desserts. The food was exquisite. From the poutine, escargo and beef tar tar, to the salads, main dishes and desserts, they were all cooked to perfection and presented very well. It all was a big hit with our family and when back to Wichita, definitely will not miss dinner here.

Stopped by for a nice dinner while on a business trip. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service. Their website wasnt up to date with the new drinks so I was disappointed to miss out on something that looked yummy. The steak was a little fatty but seasoned beautifully. It was worth the trip!

If you’re looking for quality French dishes, look no further than George’s French bistro. The service you receive from your server to the very knowledgeable bartenders, who concoct up an intoxicating array of specialty beverages and an expansive wine list is top notch. But of course the star. Here are the wonderful traditional French dishes. But the classics like steak frites, and poulet grand-mère to excellent pan-seared branzino with the most addictive risotto. However, located at the bottom of the menu are a series of crips which are not to be missed. The Crepe Josephine, my personal favorite, is truly one of those dishes that is a contender for the old “if you could eat one thing everyday eveyday for the rest of your life” hypothetical. Even if you’re not a dessert person, you would be a fool to skip out on something from their rotating dessert menu; if they have the tartlett, get it! While the restaurant does have some more expensive offerings with some dishes around 45 to $50, there are some affordable options starting at the low $20 range (like the delicious crepes). All in all, George’s is is by far one of the finest restaurants in Wichita, and may I say, truly worth its contendership as one of the best in the US.

Came in for our anniversary. Had a cafe Paris, cafe au laite, roast beef sandwich, poutine, and the turkey club. Food was wonderful, service was great, and wait times were acceptable. Highly recommend!

The bartender Jess was absolutely amazing and super knowledgeable and accommodating. One of my pet peeves is going to a place that claims to be an “oyster bar”, then send you a plate of oysters that look like they were shucked with an axe and covered in shell fragments. These oysters from PEI were impeccable.
