For my first time here I was so amazed. Genji’s went above and beyond my expectations. Food was cooked exactly how I asked. Such friendly workers. So interactive. I love all the little tricks the cook does to keep the guests entertained and happy. 10 out of 10 will recommend and will go again!

This is a great place for special occasions and date night. Seating is large U shapes with the grill in the center. Larger parties will have their own grills while smaller parties might be seated together.
We went at the beginning of January for my birthday, and due to staff shortages, they didn’t have any appetizers or sushi. I was really looking forward to sushi and was disappointed when we were told after a 45 minute wait instead of when we called or first arrived. If that’s important to you, ask before arrival. Their menu is very limited.
They did do a great job of accommodating a food allergy and our waitress was phenomenal.
You get a good portion of food and the cooks are fun to interact with. It’s definitely fun for kids!

We planned our day around visiting this restaurant for my son’s and my birthday upon my son’s request. It’s about a two hour drive. It was our last stop and as we entered we were hit with the most heinous stench. I assumed the pond must have broken and needed to be cleaned. We were informed not long after we arrived that their freezer was broken. We wouldn’t be getting ice cream with our meal. Surprisingly, we were not compensated for this. ????? Our chef honed in on my 8 year old daughter and talked primarily to her. We were seated with another couple who did not try very hard to interact. However, myself, and my soon to be 11 year old son did. The chef ignored us altogether and primarily talked to just my daughter. The thing that upset me the most by this is when he made a heart out of the rice and she took note of it and he said and I quote “me love you long time.” Funny to some, but to the mother of an EIGHT year old, not so much. He burnt our vegetables and the eggs. I almost had to stop him from overcooking my fillet mignon! The soup was luke warm. When I got home and had my leftovers, they had two SMALL thimble-sized containers of yum-yum sauce. This experience was NOTHING like the Genji’s in Saginaw. We will not be back! If the restaurant was to have this many issues at hand, it should have been closed until it could have resolved them and noted it on it’s website.

Will not be going back. Prices do no reflect the staff service nor food. Appetizers sat out for more than 9 min. Drinks were not refilled. Our “waitress ” looked like she just got outta bed. Sushi chef was in a football Jersey, flatbill hat wearing a gold chain. Should’ve turned around soon as I seen how well they take care of the lawn.
