Love the build-your-own bowl concept. So many choices and everything was fresh. I was happy with my meal.

It’s a build your own bowl style restraunt. The server was very attentive and even made suggestions on things to get. For being the first time in they walked me through how to order and the food was very tasty. Udon was especially good.

The food was cooked great. Did not take long, that was the main thing I was looking for today. Plenty of leftovers . Kamari was great. I didn’t have to ask for anything. First time eating there by myself, was comfortable.

So disappointed tonight.
I ordered sushi through DoorDash because I had a long day and didn’t feel good — the whole point was to not have to drive. When the food arrived, it was missing the sauces that are supposed to come with the sushi. Anyone who eats sushi knows the sauces are what make it edible.
I called the restaurant, and they were not willing to remake the sushi with the sauces or fix the mistake in any reasonable way. Instead, I was told I would need to come pick it up. I even offered to come the next day. The only thing they offered me was soup… that I also had to come pick up. No refund, no replacement.
I couldn’t eat the sushi and had to throw it away.
Mistakes happen, but refusing to make it right — especially on a delivery order — is disappointing. Just sharing my experience.

When we are in Pineville, we HAVE to stop and eat here. Great food and service!
Choose which filler you want (rice, noodles etc) Get in line and fill up your bowl with proteins, veggies then choose your sauce and seasonings then they cook it fresh for you!
Restaurant needs a little facelift but the food is great!

Genghis Mongolian Grill & Sushi is in a location that if you are not looking for it, you may not know its there. The grill is very compact, but comfortable enough. However, because of the uniqueness of its “self-service,” and standing in line to choose the contents of your bowl, it is not your typical restaurant. The return customers I’ve observed seem to enjoy the closeness of fellowship. It is an acquired taste. You can fill your bowl with endless menu selections. Then choose your sauce and seasonings, and your food is cooked and handed back to you! The staff is willing to help you with learning how everything works. Takeout is pretty cumbersome, and is not recommended. Compared to other Asian-style restaurants in CENLA, prices are higher than I expected. Depending on your food selections, the quality of the food is good.

This is one of our go to places. Their sushi is amazing (LSU roll, Alexandria roll, more) and the bowls are a great value. I really enjoy being able to pick out everything that I specifically want and being able to watch them cook it and then eat it fresh. For the amount of food, the price is great also. We also like their potstickers and egg drop soup!

Our server patiently guided us through the ordering process even walking alongside and giving guidance on mixing sauces. The food was fresh, the vegetables crisp and the whole beef bowl was delicious. A great stop on our journey theough the backroads of Louisiana.
