After being in the heart of Downtown Garden City for over 20 years, Tony Grabanica and his family bring you a new way to dine in Garden City. Garden City Café now offers you an inner city dining experience with the warm, small town feel they’ve always been known for. You will find classic breakfast as well as new brunch options, a variety of burgers, sandwiches, steaks and chops, and now pizza as well! GCC has maintained it’s loyalty to the area by offering locally sourced ingredients, including Detroit City Soda Company, Michigan craft beers, Michigan wines, and local bakeries for dessert. Even the new décor has implements of local artistry.

Went in at night around 7pm it was surprisingly slow but amazing service. It is decorated nicely kind of a cool little place. Good alcohol selection and beer list the waitress was very attentive and very good. We got chicken fingers and the zip city pasta. Chicken has a good seasoning on it in really nice and crispy. The zip city pasta has a great sauce on it and overall a great dish not super heavy even though it’s pasta. I highly recommend giving this place a try it is pretty good.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM. I ordered BLT pizza, it was phenomenal. Everything is homemade. Try it with ranch and Italian dressing on the side. Sat at the bar ordered two mule drinks, that were excellent! Bartender/server Amanda very friendly and knowledgeable. Tony the owner spent time getting to know me and telling me the story behind the remodel of the business. I felt like I was at a pub downtown royal oak or downtown detroit. Awesome first experience. I will be back very soon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had lunch there yesterday. It was our first time . They only serve Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. The pulled pork was very good and the Tuna sandwich was great I was told.

My 1st time ordering from here. Overall amazing place! The food was incredible. I ordered the zip chicken dinner and it was a 10/10! Great service, beautiful atmosphere. Very cozy. Love it!

DONT COME HERE! If i could give zero stars I would, we ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and it quite literally tasted like rotten cheese. We kindly asked to send it back, we genuinely weren’t rude or anything. We didn’t get the replacement until everyone else was already done with their food so we had to get it to go. I asked if we could only get that one charged compensated, the waitress then went to grab the owner who was VERY VERY RUDE. I was simply asking if i could get the one charged removed, which was about $13 off of a $70 bill. If it wasn’t possible that’s fine I would’ve taken it with grace but no the owner was extremely rude and condescending saying I can just leave without paying the entire bill. That was not what I was intending at all, I was completely fine with paying the bill I was only WONDERING if I could get the ONE order comped. The owner then goes on to say that WE, as the customers, were inconveniencing HIM! Which is not at all what we were doing, we were very kind and understanding. He then goes on and on about how he gets I’m happy that I don’t have to pay the bill at all. Which isn’t true because I respect service workers since I am one myself. EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE OWNER DONT GO HERE!

This was awhile ago but I thought about it again and it made me mad so I’m leaving this review. We came in around dinner time and every single thing we ordered except the mac and cheese they were out of so we tried to leave and pay for the pop we got after ordering the mac and cheese and they told us we’re not allowed to leave because the mac and cheese was already being made and they charged us $20 for a small bowl of stale mac and cheese and two pops, horrible service, food, etc I left feeling scammed.

Absolutely terrible!!! The worst service ever!! Sat at the bar, the “bartender” stayed hidden in the kitchen almost the entire time. The fish was frozen and old with no flavor. Shrimp and broccoli tasted like it came out of a microwave. And then when the “bartender” finally decided to come out of the kitchen, she hovered over us while we paid the bill. It wasn’t busy at all. Been there a couple of times before and wasn’t impressed. We love support local but in this case, definitely not worth supporting!! Just atrocious!!!

So let me start off by saying that my girlfriend posted a review a couple of hours ago but the owner of this trash establishment deleted it. I was there this morning with my girlfriend and her siblings and one of them had ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. The cheese in the wrap was grainy and rotten and tasted horrible. When the bill had come, we had expected her meal to at least be copped and it wasn’t. The owner then has told us that “you guys have been an inconvenience since we walked in”. The last time i had been here was before they remodeled and I have never had a bad experience but since then all my friends have told me only bad things about this place. Don’t bother wasting your time coming here, you’re better off getting mcdonald’s breakfast across the street since they serve it all week and not just on weekends

Been coming here for awhile now. Love the food. Cheese sticks are the best. Me and my friend come here to eat about every ten days. Well lately we have been coming and the owner one night shut down early don’t know why maybe something happened no big deal. The other other night we went and this guy with long hair told us he is shutting kitchen down it was about 1030 maybe a little later and they close at 12. Two times in a row we have been turned away. Very disappointed.
