It was absolutely an awesome place, we went for happy hour , not crowded as you can see in the pictures, I enjoyed and appreciate the flip from a church to a restaurant, the historic building is beautiful & located in a very nice area

Server was nice, chicken parm sandwich was subpar. It was an overcooked, wafer-thin, dried-out piece of I assume chicken. The bread delicious and the fries were really good. Atmosphere was great and the dacor was beautiful. That sandwich was worse than something you’d find at some cheesy family chain

They just moved into a bigger location, and it’s amazing! The food is really good, i suggest the honey Sriracha wings and fries.

Was there today July 22, 2023 5:30 pm. Ordered drinks and food. My basket came out with a baby roach crawling in it. Told the waiter. He scooted it off the table on the floor. Waiter came back to the table and told us the whole bill was compted. Not a manager, hostess, anyone came over to our table to apologize. It’s sad because I really like the place. Looks like it’s drinks only whenever I go back.

Saw this place on a episode of Diners, Drive in’s and Dives. We had some time to kill before our train left 30th street, so we decided to go here. They did change locations to a few blocks away (not sure if they reflected that somewhere we didn’t see it), but luckily a neighbor to the old place pointed us in the right direction. The new place is pretty cool. It is underground and has feels like a hometown philly bar. I got the “Wit or Witoutski”; the sandwich they are famous for on Triple D. Well, it lived up to the name and was one of the best sandwiches of the weekend. The also double fry their fries which made them perfectly crispy. Highly recommend

Extremely loud live music in an almost empty bar. Couldn’t do anything to turn it down either. Service and food were good, but we left as soon as we could.

I saw this restaurant on a Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives program. We chose to visit this location because we had some free time before our train departed from 30th Street. They did relocate a few blocks away (I’m not sure whether they indicated that anywhere we missed it), but fortunately, a neighbor of the former location gave us the right turn. The new location is quite awesome. It is hidden and feels like a bar in Philadelphia. I ordered the Triple D specialty sandwich, the “Wit or Witoutski.” It certainly lived up to its moniker and was among the weekend’s best sandwiches. Additionally, they double-fry their fries, which gives them an ideal crispness.
