The days there is food is always great! Buccaneers game day is just that! Pool table, with a tournament on Saturday days. Great things going on with this owner with all the updates! Birthday parties and such here! Great bartenders, come check it out newly painted outside and in. Still more remodeling being done!

Walked in after picking up trash on Tamiami—hands black from goodwill—and got the full ‘Life’ movie treatment. You know, the scene where Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence step into that diner and every head swivels like they just landed from Mars? Yeah, that. Only instead of a sassy waitress, I got the owner barking, ‘This is for patrons only,’ before I even ordered. Didn’t ask if I wanted a beer—just assumed I was there to steal soap. Look, it’s 2026, not 1952. The stares, the vibe, the instant suspicion? Felt like I’d time-traveled into a bad rerun. Sarasota’s got better spots—like The Gator Club downtown—that don’t treat strangers like intruders. Maybe update the welcome mat. I thought I had entered a totally different dimension staged in the 1950’s.

They are very reasonable drink prices and still undisputed best dive bar in the area! In remodel process and coming along nice. Its def a different crowd because of diversity of people especially from day to night. Have the dart boards back up and isolated pool room addition.
