Very small hidden spot with good food got a rib and chicken combo with beans and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese is so creamy. The gentleman behind the counter had me sample the cornbread concoction everything was very flavorful. Will definitely return.

Great BBQ meal at Gary & Meg’s (who we got to meet). They are super passionate about their restaurant and the food they cook. They allowed us to sample the ribs and pulled pork, which we will absolutely be back for in the warm weather (and sit outside on the patio!!). Collared greens and cornbread was comfort food at its finest. Grilled shrimp was cooked PERFECTLY and habanero dipping sauce was fantastic. Homemade BBQ sauce was also a hit.

Amazing service and food. The employees make you feel like you are a part of their family. If your looking for a restaurant that focuses on making every meal memorable this is the place to go. The pulled pork and pulled chicken are incredibly tender. The buns they use for their sandwiches taste fresh every time. The brisket they offer on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is the best in New Jersey by far. Their cornbread concoction is a great version of a cornbread casserole that really highlights the corn. Their Mac and Cheese is a great comfort food that can immediately put a smile on your face.

One of my favorite local spots and I wish I’d remember to eat here more often. Half chicken with 2 sides (collard greens and beans) is the go-to, but everything is great. Other favorites include the cornbread concoction and the chili which has a nice kick to it. All the meats are tender and flavorful. I’m a little surprised by the reviewers complaining for BBQ sauces or who obviously didn’t read the menu descriptions, but then I remember there are people out there who think good sushi is a roll from a supermarket with fruit and cream cheese on it.

When you hear the phrase, “A true masterpiece,” let me tell you! Damn, my mouth is watering as I type this thinking about how delicious my charcoal cheese steak sandwich was on Wednesday night. I mean, the only issue was I didn’t order a 2nd one for breakfast on Thursday!!! Gary’s corn bread serves 2 adults easily. The Mac and cheese took me about 15 minutes to eat, dur to the fact that I wanted to savor every bite so I wouldn’t forget it. I am from North NJ, but I live off of exit 3 on the turnpike. Gary and Megs is a permanent detour, I’m taking EVERY SINGLE TRIP UP NORTH!!!.

FINALLY! Great bbq in NJ! We ordered the pulled pork and ribs. Both were excellent. For sides we had Mac n cheese, cornbread, and tips. All three were killer. We can’t wait to go back and try the chili, chicken and brisket. This place is the real deal!
