Beautiful venue, and the food is fair as well. However, the service of the staff did not meet the standards set by the other functions within the venue. We hosted a party for my sister here, when we arrived the room was still dirty from the previous party, the maitré d was late and not personable at all. Just overall not a great experience, but it was not the worse either.

My expectations were already very low since it’s a very casual place. We moved to Union 2 years ago and wanted to try out some local food. The burger is worst than the ones they serve for school lunch. It is absolutely not edible. The Philly cheesesteak is a bit more edible but has no flavor at all. There’s no salt or pepper on anything. I could’ve made better food at home.

I’ve been going to Peterson’s, now Galloping Hill Inn for many years. I’ve always liked the food. I went there today and was very disappointed. I ordered a double with mustard and barbecued onions. I should have known there would be a problem when my order was ready, bagged and all, when I paid. The dogs weren’t fried. As a matter of fact, they were barely warm and the double was on a regular hot dog bun, not the usual roll that they had previously served. I couldn’t pick it up because it was so wet and sloppy. I had seen several bad reviews recently about this place but I always try to give a location the benefit of a doubt, especially because I have had so many good experiences. I’ll chalk this up to a bad day and give them one more visit. If things stay the same, they’ll be losing another customer because of a substandard product.

I’ve been going to this place since I was a child. They previously had THE BEST hotdogs IN THE WORLD. Not even close. What made them special is the combination of the hotdog and the bun. Both are uniquely world class. But guess what?? The owner recently decided to celebrate their literal 100-year anniversary by ditching the world class buns and instead using garbage quality supermarket buns. Picture the cheapest buns you can find at the cheapest supermarket you can think of. That’s what they did. Like putting hubcaps on a Ferrari. This is an insult to their product. The hotdog is NO LONGER SPECIAL because what made it classic was the hotdog AND the bun. I will never go back to this place ever again. YET ANOTHER CLASSIC INSTITUTION LOWERING QUALITY. IS THERE NOTHING SPECIAL ANYMORE??? This actually ruined my week.

My husband and I have been enjoying this place for over 14 years. We found out they randomly changed their hotdog buns to plain store bought ones and it ruined their signature product known and loved by many. Unfortunately, it completely changed the taste and everything. So sad we can no longer enjoy this awesome place.

This place was one of my favorites to go as I kid but sadly the last few years the food has gotten worse and worse. I would still pop in every once and a while for a hot dog but now that they changed the bun it’s the last nail in the coffin for this one

The food was not great. Fries were unseasoned (not even a hint of salt). The cheesesteak was bland, and also kind of dry. Will submit photos. Really good service and the atmosphere was nice!

I haven’t been here for decades, but used to go with my parents as a kid. It’s iconic & now just as many years ago, have great food. Zero complaints and the dogs taste as I remember them. A nice snap to the dogs. Delicious rolls (some have told me their rolls went through a “not so good” period, but that is no longer the case). Nice beer specials too if that’s your thing.

Food was okay was missing salt and pepper very bland . The fries were cooked perfect though nice and crispy but didn’t have no flavor lol . The panini was good I got the italiano one . The hotdog on the other hand wasn’t it . It was very chewy and rubbery . I have had better hotdogs not terrible but I wouldn’t get it again . French onion soup was delicious . Server on the other hand could have done a little better as it was our first time there . Didn’t really ask us how our food was seeing the hotdog was barely eaten . The other panini was very soggy and not cut all the way through it was a chicken breast in it so very hard to cut it with a butter knife . Friendly counter guy ! Very nice . Cute decor inside

Went on Sunday. Always get double hot dog with the works. After waiting more than 5 minutes for someone to make the hot dog (no one at the hot dog grill , let’s not forget i was the only person there) I was given 2 hot dogs on a bun that was a cheep roll that wouldn’t even fit 1 hot dog. Not the reg roll they have. VERY DISAPPOINTING. WONT BE GOING BACK ANYTIME SOON
