This dinner was absolutely phenomenal! To start, the salad had a unique flavor that elevated it to the next level. The bread and butter were fresh and hard to put down. The steak was cooked perfectly and irresistible. The cheesecake was possibly the best slice I have ever had. The atmosphere was energetic yet relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and the service was exceptional. Gallagher’s is definitely a standout dining experience.

If you have not been to Gallaghers in Waterloo – check them out !! Exceptional cocktails, entrees, desserts…and bonus sunsets!!

This was our first (of many more) visits to this restaurant. The ambiance and service is top notch, and the back of the house brings to each table beautiful and delicious plates. Thank you for making our 3rd year anniversary memorable and special! We will be back

Update – returned again for their (Sunday) AYCE homemade chicken n’fixings and spicy Bloody Mary’s for Fathers Day. Everything was delicious and lived up to the positive reviews.

Delicious food and atmosphere. We were seated upstairs and took the elevator up. They forgot about our drinks and service was a little bit slower which we understand on a Saturday night. When we first arrived, service was also very slow at the bar to get served drinks. The bartenders were working their butts off trying to get to everyone but possibly needed another bartender. Definitely would go back and can’t wait to go back. Beautiful remodel. Absolutely love the aesthetic. 8 oz tenderloin was cooked to perfection and delicious. Brussel sprouts and bacon were okay. The smashed potatoes were great. My husband had the pork chop and it was delicious. He took half of it home for lunch the next day.

My wife and I stopped in for the all-you-can-eat fried chicken dinner. I’d read mixed reviews so I was concerned.

The fried chicken was delicious. It is described as Cajun fried chicken – could be why people weren’t expecting it to be seasoned the way it was. We thought it was great.

The mashed potatoes were more like smashed potatoes – but they were also very good.

The corn casserole was a lot like a creamed corn. It was also good.

The biscuits were deliciously crispy and soft and fluffy.

The green beans were okay. The flavor was great – with a both of balsamic to provide acidity. But, neither of us really enjoy very al dente green beans. They were still crunchy.

Overall, it was a great lunch and we’d definitely go back again.

Have been here several times. It’s a great place to go without having to drive across the river.
Their bar selection is great. If you’re a wino- you can bring your own for a very reasonable corkage fee or ask for the captains list.
Menu has plenty. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Steaks are great! Sides are good.
I’d say the chef loves salt. A bit much for me, but still beats driving for a steak some nights.
The desserts are homemade and usually a nice variety to meet what you’re feeling on a given evening.
They did a great job on the remodel and have a nice dining room upstairs and the bar area downstairs fantastic.
If there was one area of opportunity for Gallaghers, the service doesn’t meet the quality of food, atmosphere and pricing they’re going for. That said, they do have food runners so that part is efficient.
I’m still a returning customer and will continue. Just set the right expectations when you go in.

We were there a day early for a retirement celebration. We were seated upstairs and ordered the Egg White Sour. It was amazing! So amazing that I brought 20+ people back to the bar the next day to have one. We had the summer tomato salad which was more like a tapas plate than a salad but delicious none the less. I got the burger which was very tasty as well. We enjoyed our dinner immensely. This is an upscale restaurant with major city pricing in a small town. It looks like a popular place to dine so even though they are on their second go around it looks to be sustainable at these prices. I would definitely give it a try. I will go back to eat here again when in the area.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice, we went there for a date night and it was great for that. The staff were very friendly and provided insight on menu items as well as beer. The food was good, with a large emphasis place on presentation.

The reason this fails to have a higher rating is that for the cost, I expect more. While the food was good, it was not 30$ for three scallops good. When 3/4 of your plate is grits or a potato medley, it’s hard to justify that price.

I enjoyed this restaurant and may come back for future important dates, I definitely wouldn’t make it a normal thing.

We had lunch after church on a Sunday and had the fried chicken dinner. It was good (this is a recipe they have had for a long time). It came with chicken, fried green beans, “dirty” mashed potatoes, and corn type dish. We did get the bacon jam bruschetta (which was fabulous) as well as the mac and cheese (I was not the biggest fan). We opted to share a dessert with coffee (their coffee was outstanding as well). Overall, it was a great experience as this was the first time I have been back since the remodel. They did a fabulous job with the remodel!

Yay! They brought back the classic whiskey sour! The remodel looks amazing. We sat at a table on the main floor. I love the design. The ceiling is gorgeous. Our meals were great. Sea bass is on the regular menu, which I love. The service was excellent. I’m definitely returning.

Went here for dinner with a girlfriend of mine before going back home and it was a great end to my visit! The food was amazing tasting and the menu was very diverse with many yummy options.

The clam chowder had great flavor but was a little thinner than most chowders. I prefer mine a little thicker so it sticks to the bread better. Not a huge deal but my preference. The flatbread was another tasty option but it definitely needed more protein than what was given…or smaller pieces of protein spread out more evenly on the flatbread. The scallop entree was amazing for sure but only three scallops and for the price there really should be four or five at the very least. Fancy plating can’t hide lack of protein. ‍♀️

The prime baseball sirloin was probably my favorite. The portion size was much better than the scallop dish and it was super flavorful. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for. Definitely recommend.

The crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect ending to dinner. I didn’t even think I wanted dessert but I’m glad my friend wanted to get something to share…it hit the spot!

The service was so wonderful. I forgot the name of our server but he was a younger brunette man…kind, efficient, and knew his stuff about the food. The young blonde lady who assisted the server bussing dishes, filling waters, etc. was also super sweet with tons of personality! Great staff. Meal was paced really well by the kitchen, too.

The atmosphere is straight out of a Gatsby-like imagination. Super sleek and cool harkening 1920’s style…and I loved it.
