We love this place! Heads up Foodies – Authentic Nigerian food! The heat can be adjusted so don’t worry. We’ve tried several items on the menu. We love the Ego Still Dodo/ vegetarian kale stew, fish soup, and curry goat stew. We will go out of way for their spiced fruited hibiscus tea called Zobo – it’s delicious hot or iced and smells like Christmas in a cup! Have been there multiple times for lunch and dinner as a couple and as a group of 15. Funmi comes out of the kitchen to say hello, her husband, Yomi, and their son, Pelumi, run the front desk – a truly delightful couple, very friendly. And they deliver via GrubHub! A neighborhood gem for sure!

Wife and I decided to try something different and needless to say it won’t be our last. Food was really good. I got the spicy goat which was amazing. Only reason not 5 is cuz I wish it was a little more spicy. But its a personal taste as a love extra spicy food. It may be a little difficult to find this place but I suggest everyone give it a try

Funmi and her husband are very nice people. The restaurant is small but very welcoming. Food is amazing. Try the Zobo tea cold ( it comes hot as well but never tried it).

Very foolish rude woman. Horrible customer service. Talking about someone in the toilet while I’m trying to order. Taking everybody’s else’s order while I’m trying to order.

Although difficult to find (on side street behind planet fitness) it is well worth the minor search.

Though I’m not a Nigerian, but as a Liberian with Nigerians family and friends, this is definitely not Nigerian cuisine. I wasted $40.00 on my order of enguzi, plaintain, and fish. What a disappointment for me

The isn’t Nigerian. Load of tomatoe paste. The vegetables used was previously dried and not right for egusi or efo riro. Jollof rice full of tomatoes paste will no trace of onions or other ingredients. Nigerians never use yam porridge as side for jollof rice. Plus the porridge tasted like sweet potatoes was used not yam . Meat size is funny to as the meat ( chicken and beef) just like suya sizes. The sauce by itself is tomato pasta, I mean tin tomatoes o.

Funmi’s Cafe is hidden in the middle of the shopping center, have to look for it. A small place, basic tables and chairs and at first glance looks a bit seedy – a perfect set up for the outstanding meal we were to receive. I have never tasted food like this before, it was all African across the board, only the dinner salad was immediately recognizable. Plantains, goat, tripe, were well represented but there were also more familiar chicken, beef, potatoes, kale, and tomato sauces though all had an earthy flavor. Heavy on cardamon, the flavor was unusual and ranged from mild to quite hot, expect strong flavors and plenty to eat. Lots of variations on beans, all of them tasty. Our young kids did not appreciate the flavors and there were not good options, there is no kids menu and I suggested that hot dogs would be a great addition for finicky little ones. The chicken and rice was suitable for them. Great staff, timely service, spartan setting, and the prices were average. Strongly recommend if you are looking for something different, a memorable meal.
