Rootbeer floats, awesome! ($4.99), onion r8ngs were thin strings and serving was too tiny to share ($3.99), restaurant has been here since the 1950s, barely standing, could use a power wash, but that’s like most things downtown Baton Rouge, LA. Sweet lady working there.

Very old. Floors are sticky. Booth chairs are torn. Black & white tiles on counter are falling off. Weren’t sure when we walked in because there was only one customer but really wanted a homemade root beer float.

While the building needs a bit of love, the staff and their food offer a lot of happiness! We had a burger and a po-boy sandwich, and they were delicious. We also tried their floating ice drinks and oh man that’s something different. The icecream was really nice. The place has a great authentic retro feel, which we loved. But as mentioned, could use some new tiles here and there hehe. If you’re in the area, be sure to get some here!

Old fashioned, a little whimsical. They try, but saw a roach so 50/50.

Had the chili dog (without condiments), fries, a root beer, and my husband had a po boy. Hole in the wall kind of place but good. Fries were amazing.

Tried to go to get a good meal just to find out that they only serve burgers. We stood there looking at the menu and walked in before a gentleman and his son when the guy behind the counter asked to take his order instead of my family. It was a regular but he shouldn’t have shown favorites. He also could have told us they only served burgers instead of what was on his menu above him.

Not a fan of their poboy. I had a ham one and idk what kind of meat that was. It looked like salami or bologna. The only good thing was their bread was soft their hot dogs are ok also. Never tried their burgers bc anything else I had got I wasn’t a fan of. Maybe their ice cream is good but everyone I went I didn’t see anyone with it
