Food was on the pricier side, but worth it. Got a big family plate, was enough for 5.Would come again!

Casual South Houston Nicaraguan spot known for authentic, home‑style dishes like parillada, quesillos and hearty nacatamales that many locals rave about for flavor and generous portions. Friendly owners and a warm, family vibe make it memorable, though quality and consistency can vary and the cozy space fills fast — great for adventurous, affordable Nica eats!

My boyfriend and I brought my mom here for the first time to celebrate her birthday, she is from Nicaragua, I’m from Miami and grew up eating Nicaraguan food all the time. Having moved it’s been difficult to find a quality fritanga nicaragüense. It was a far drive, and we would do it AGAIN. I got teary eyed too. This is pure Nica! Food was spectacular, price is very affordable, the owner was so welcoming and the Nica mariachi was actually super good and sung las mañanitas too! I’m so happy and thankful this place exists!!!

I am 100% Nicaraguan and i wanted to eat authentic nicaraguan food so we went here.
we had this family plate and let tell you I can cook this plate at home better.
the fried cheese was not authentic from Nicaragua. the taquitos were the ones that are sold in the frozen section at the grocery store.
the beef meat was a bit hard, and the tajadas too.. this place is not the real deal and it’s overpriced too.

No,no. Service was terrible I never said that I wanted take out and this lady brought us the food packed with attitude like kicking us out. I asked for a juice & she gave me a beer instead, cheese clearly was fried in dirty oil. I am Nicaraguan born & raised .I have never had this bad service since I been here, honestly this is terrible on top of everything it was expensive.

Finally I found a Nicaraguan restaurant! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff is super nice and welcoming. It is a mom and pop place so do not expect a fancy restaurant. The food is delicious home cooked ,nothing is better than that.
