Tried to use a coupon from their website and the lady kept going back and forth with me about the coupon. I told her I was going to print out the coupon so she could see it. She hung up on me and I decided to order from somewhere else. This place has fallen and this experience has solidified my view to not order from here anymore. It’s a shame because this place was great.

The owner of this establishment, Steve, is absolutely disgustingly RUDE. He hangs up on his customers when they call in to ask questions regarding their order. When I called back and asked why I was hung up on, I was told “what the hell is your question” and when I said I was a long time customer and didn’t deserve to be spoke to this way he says “good for you”. I’ve ordered from Golden Crust for 25+years AND WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN!!! You lost a loyal customer because you don’t know how to speak to people with respect!!! Shame on you Steve!!!! Your pizza isn’t the same anyways. Shitty service and mediocre pizza, no thanks.

Thin crust cheese pizza and large fresh garden salad pick up order. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. I’m also grateful there is a pizza by the slice option I get sometimes too. Looking forward to the thin crust promotion on Mondays to reorder another pizza!

Stopped in here to try a new place. It was just about ok.
Drinks – they have a lot of taps but not all of them had beers attached. Tried ordering 2 different things without luck. No seltzers which disappointed a few in the group.
Food – small 12 inch pizza with artichoke, black olives, and green peppers was $23 which seemed very pricey. There was a lot of cheese. Like a lot. I know it’s a pizza but…
Service – staff were friendly and helpful. The pizza took longer than expected.
Atmosphere – the patio area is decent enough and looks onto the brown line which provides opportunities to gamble on when the next train will come.
Overall, the staff were nice but the other aspects were below what we were expecting. Won’t make it back.

I’m very disappointed with the salad I got. I called and placed the order and the guy on the phone was nice. But the salad not so much. It was odd the carrots and celery were fine they were chopped but the cucumber and tomatoes were thick. It’s like they took a whole tomatoes cut it in 4 and threw it on top. The chicken was on the dry side. I had high expectations cause I always see people there. Maybe the pizza is good though.

Went with a friend on a Thursday night for a beer and pizza. The place looked okay but felt run-down, like it hadn’t had any care in a long time. We tried ordering six different beers, and each time the server had to check and come back apologizing they didn’t have it. She explained she doesn’t handle the ordering, so it wasn’t on her — but it was still frustrating. Even with only two parties in the place, it took a while to get our check, and the whole experience just felt off.

We came for a visit from Indiana while here for a Cubs game. It was close to our Airbnb – but highly recommend. We had the fried veggies, mozzarella sticks and coconut shrimp as apps. They were great! Then we moved on to the meat lovers pizza and Mediterranean pizzas. Both were SO good! Our waitress was fun – drinks were tasty. Highly recommend!

Ordered stadium size for delivery, phone operator took the wrong address for the delivery despite multiple confirmations, and delivery driver explicitly ignored directions when he called for clarification. Pizza was lukewarm when it arrived and was not even boxed properly with one of the ends being OPEN, so the pizza had no chance of being hot on arrival
Have ordered from here for years previously, attitude of the service has turned me off from ordering again.
