Overhyped! & took over 30 min for our food to get to us (though the restaurant did warn us of this). Lots of non pork options which was great to see. But flavor was subpar for everything. The indoor seating was limited and all counter seating/bar stools. The outdoor seating had great tables but no tarp or heating lamps or fire so it was cold at night. The garden rolls had dry noodles that kept falling out. The chicken wings were inconsistently dry with a little bit of sauce, had to ask for more. And the cauliflower bits were the best thing on there but also not the best I’ve ever had. Friendly staff but would not come back.

Love this place! We sat outside – under a heater – with the puppy dog. Everyone was so gracious and helpful. Drinks were amazing but the food was- OMG. I had the pho with wine braised beef – to die for! My friend had the wonton soup and was also ecstatic. Wonderful evening thank you so much

Amazing Vegan Vietnamese Food!
I tried the Wholesome Plate, which came with vegan meat, a crispy egg roll, pickles, and rice that is so satisfying!
The vegan meat had a great texture and was packed with flavor, and they even served it with a vegan nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce-style dip). I loved it!
All the vegan options were clearly marked with “VGN”, so it was easy to order.
The outdoor seating was beautiful, perfect for a relaxing meal.
I recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious vegan Vietnamese food!

I’m not vegetarian, but I almost always get the vegetarian dishes at Friendship Kitchen because they are so delicious! Everything they do with tofu is outstanding. The vegan pho has a super flavorful mushroom broth and is chock full of veggies. The beef pho is good but the veggie is . The lemongrass tofu is zesty and the tofu skin and egg roll in the abundance bowl are craveable. And no matter what you order, you will get at least 2 meals out of it because portions are huge! This place is a gem for sure!

Super friendly service and absolutely phenomenal food. I ordered the shaken tofu and couldn’t get enough of it—I’m already excited to go back. The edges were perfectly crispy while the center stayed firm, and the flavors came together beautifully. There are tons of great vegan options on the menu too. My partner had the Bun Bo Hue and loved it just as much. Highly recommend this spot.

Friendship Kitchen is a hidden gem for Vietnamese cuisine. The food was outstanding and balances traditional dishes with a modern touch, and everything we tried was excellent. The Imperial egg rolls were crispy and perfectly seasoned, you can’t even tell that it is made with Impossible Meat! The Wholesome Plate comes with tender juicy lemongrass chicken that is grilled to perfection and served with fragrant jasmine rice. The pho had a rich, aromatic broth, with tender slices of beef and fresh herbs. The bun bo hue was spicy, savory, and deeply flavorful, exactly the way my mom would make it. Portion sizes are huge here! The patio is a great spot to enjoy a meal, especially on a nice day. Whether you’re a fan of Vietnamese food or trying it for the first time, Friendship Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!

Trang really did something special here! If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting her, you will know that FK is her way of sharing not only her delicious food, but her fun, happy, loving, lively energy. You can feel it in the atmosphere and taste it in her dishes.
The decor is vibrant, cool and fresh with an open, covered outdoor dining area with a few seats inside, the service is unmatched (Chau is an absolute angel), and the food is full of flavor.
If you’re dining alone, get one of their rice plates, banh mi or my personal favorite their bun bo hue. If you’re dining with a group— get everything. The banh xeo, salt and pepper shrimp, and Vietnamese salad are to die for.

The owners of this restaurant are phenomenal—so generous, kind, and deeply involved in the community. They regularly give back to people in need, which says so much about who they are. Their warmth and hospitality are what first drew me in, especially since I don’t usually visit Vietnamese restaurants. But after trying this place once, I’ve been going back religiously ever since!
They have two convenient locations and a huge variety of food. My personal favorites are the steak frites, the wholesome plate, and the abundance bowls—all fabulous. And their lobster puffs are so unbelievably yummy!
I also really appreciate that they have so many gluten-free and vegan options, which has been amazing for friends of mine with dietary restrictions. Everyone can find something here.
Most of all, I love knowing that when I eat here, I’m supporting some of the most wonderful people. This is exactly the kind of local business our community is lucky to have—caring, generous, and absolutely delicious.

Friendship kitchen has some of the best food, atmosphere, and service you will find in Portland. This place is so uniquely beautiful. You can tell that the owner paid attention to every detail of the menu/ atmosphere and is very passionate about what she does! Every time i go i HAVE to get the fried rice. I’m also a big fan of their chicken wings, egg rolls, and lobster wontons! From the moment i walked in the restaurant i was greeted with very friendly staff who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. I recommend FK to all my friends every time they ask for recommendations or if they’re in the area! One of my favorite comfort food restaurants ♥️

Tasty food, cute cocktails and nice patio. Perfect spot for meeting friends. Loved it! I got the Shaken chicken and my friend got the pho. I can’t have gluten or dairy but this place has plenty of dairy free and gluten free options including vegan as well. Give it a go!
