Haven’t been to this shop in about 5years. Today I was number 14 asked for no chilli and pork, its on the receipt i left there. Received beef with pork crackling. Tasted very nice but removing the chilli was hard. Hope to come back soon. Banh Mi was very tasty even though my order was wrong.

This place is a classic in West melbourne. Everyone knows this place and the only negative I’d probably have to say about it is that you’d be waiting a while for to order. It’s just really good and is a staple in St Albans if we’re being honest. Can’t say much bad about the quality of the banh mi’s here and I’ve been going for years

Fresh chilli deli would have to be one of the best places to grab your banh – mi roast pork, chicken chili rolls. Of course if you’re not a chilli lover you can ask to not have it on the roll as all the other ingredients still leave a mouth watering taste in your mouth when you bite into a fresh crisp warm roll with your choice of toppings. The prices are fairly well priced and worth the money. The staff are always going and on the move however they still always greet you with a smile and ask how you are, even when it’s really busy. The owner I met today, was a really lovely dude with a very warm and welcoming personality and a beautiful smile that warms the heart. He was a pleasure to talk to and to be able to physically praise him even though he was very humble about the praise. If you’re ever around the Saint Albans area and you’re in need of some food, drop into, fresh chilli deli and grab a bite to eat from an array of foods they have available. Especially the (Pork squiers) Oh my goah, they’re so good.
Also say hello to the ladies working their butts off there and don’t forget to thank them for all the hard work they put in from 5am to 5:30pm most days.

Fresh Chilli Deli didn’t come to play — they came to take over. Before bánh mì was trendy, they were already serving it right. Their rolls are packed to the brim with fresh, flavourful ingredients every single time. Absolute trailblazers.

I really like the cold cut bánh mì here — the main filling quite tasty. The pâté and egg butter spread were a bit on the light side, so next time I’ll request extra for a richer flavor. The restaurant did read the notes I left on UberEats. Will be back!

I really enjoy their tofu dishes; they are delicious and flavourful. However, I have to remind them repeatedly that I need extra chili on the side, as they tend to forget to pack it otherwise . Despite this small inconvenience, the food is generally good, and the service is very quick. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Our go-to Bahn Mi store in St Albans. There’s usually a long line from morning to lunch time.
Bahn Mi flavours are good but could be better as they skimp on sauce which makes the banh mi so dry. This branch is better than the Sunshine one.
They also offer Vietnamese coffees and other vietnamese breads and pork buns.

One of the best Bahn Mi rolls I have had. At $6 for a pork cracking, it is cracker of a price.
The place does get a little busy so would recommend getting there early in the day.
Deal for Viet coffee with Roll is a good buy.

Best Banh Mi place in the West. Been to many banh mi places all over Melbourne and this local gem will always stay close to my heart.
Hardworking and fast-moving staff at Fresh Chilli Deli (Banh Mi Thanh Lan) wake up at 6am to make your favourites fresh out their huge oven. They sell amazing baguettes, tiger breads and pastries, but most importantly their banh mi.
Great to enjoy on a stroll, picnic, after gym or lunch break. For a variety of banh mi for $6, that’s a win for anyone.
Out of their banh mi options, my favourite are the mixed ham, crispy pork belly (thit heo quay), and BBQ pork meatballs (nem nuong). The star of the banh mi has got to be their crispy fresh baguettes. Love how the pillowy carbs soak the sauce they drizzle on. Also their liver pate and creamy sauce is what makes their banh mi so good.
