I usually would never do this but over the years cafe alfresco has gone downhill! I am not sure if it’s because it’s the off season right now but I am pretty appalled that somebody would serve this and especially for a price of $16! This cost $3 to make given the tiny amount of chicken that’s on here! The chef could not have put less effort in. Save yourself and just make lunch at home.

I ordered the turkey melt as well as a Buffalo chicken wrap. Both sandwiches were average at best. The turkey melt came with no cheese and I don’t understand how you can call a sandwich a “melt” if it has nothing on it that is melted. The only redeeming quality about my meal was the sweet potato fries were pretty good. Also overpriced for what you get, feels like a sandwich shop that’s trying to be more than what a sandwich shop needs to be.

I ordered the Cubano Special with hesitation. Cubanos are my favorite sandwich, but I find most places just dont use the right proportions, use the wrong kind of mustard, pickles, ect. The Cubano at Cafe Alfresco was exceptional and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Every bite was perfect, the bread was well toasted and the pickles were crinkle cut. I work in the restaurant business and you can always tell when the staff makes something with love versus when they just throw a ‘menu item’ together! My sandwhich at Al Fresco was made with thought and care, which is perhaps the most important ingredient.

I got there right at the busy lunch hour. It took a little longer than usual to get my large take out order filled because so many people were ahead of me. The front counter people and the kitchen crew were working their butts of making it happen and yet remained friendly and helpful. And the food was great. The best deli food I’ve had in a long time!! The panini sandwiches, falafel wrap and salads are top shelf choices.

I have visited Cafe Alfresco several times for lunch and never been let down. The T.C which is a chicken saltimbocca sandwich is my favorite and was good my brother and I ended up ordering a second. We go it with their hot peppers on it which are also to die for. The hot peppers or mild definitely adds a nice kick to your sandwich with great flavor (you can also buy the peppers for your fridge at home). The service was A+ and the girls were very helpful in deciding what sandwich to try off the special board (The Brandino which was grilled chicken with pesto). This place is a hidden gem and if you haven’t been….go try it.

If you are looking for an eatery that has a modern menu like avocado toast and panini sandwiches, with reasonable prices then this place is worth the stop! We stopped for breakfast and I had an avocado toast with what I would call spicy salad on top and scrambled eggs on the side. It was surprising and tasty! Another in my party had an excellent egg, cheese, meat sandwich. The winner was the gigantic 3 stack blueberry pancakes! The comment heard on that one, was we are coming back for that again! Another winning surprise was the bacon, it looked a little greasy at first glance, but man was it good with just the right amount of crispiness.

My partner and I google searched the infamous, “breakfast near me” and were happy to have found Cafe Alfresco. With an abundance of options to choose from, the owner happily shared the local’s favorites with us. We opted for the breakfast burrito, strawberry pancakes, and a caramel latte. The food came out in a timely manner and was such a treat! We highly recommend getting the burrito, the peppers are such a nice touch to the! Special thanks to Jimmy, who was kind enough to spark up a conversation with us. We’ll be sure to return when we come back to the Cape!

Stopped here for a quick brunch after running some errands in Lemon Tree and had never been in before. We were craving breakfast but had missed the 11am cut off, and the owner overheard us and said he would still do the breakfast burritos. What a guy. Made my day! So nice, and the lemon muffin was very tasty 🙂
