The first impressions go a long way. Upon entering your notice the waitstaff seated at a corner table. They sit there on the phones waiting for the kitchen order up bell to ring. The host seated us and placed a cold basket of French bread and garlic cream cheese. For those of us that have true German roots, this would be served with dark rye toast, not French bread. The background music was 70s and 80s rock, not a real German vibe there. The Bavarian potato salad, that was supposed to resemble German potato salad looked more like soup than potato salad, and was missing bacon. The German red cabbage was not cooked with the traditional bacon, apples and vinegar. It was made with cinnamon and sugar with shredded red cabbage. The sandwich was seved with the tomato core intact, nasty. My grandchildren that are only 25% German know how to prepare more authentic dishes than this place. Save your money and dignity find a German cookbook and cook at home. It will be 100 times better than here.

Service was very good. Atmosphere was family oriented. Alas no German music. At this location, there is one small bar and 2 tvs. I had fried cauliflower and the chicken schnitzel with German potato salad. Food was yummy.

If you love Freiberg’s but not the hustle of downtown, their second location is just for you! The food is amazing, parking close and plentiful, and wait staff incredibly friendly. They also themed the interior just like their downtown location, so it still feels like home. 10/10 and will be switching back and forth between the two!

My wife and I drove from Bristol to eat at this restaurant because we had visited the original Freiberg’s and liked it very much. I was totally unimpressed with this one. First, we stood at the door waiting for someone to acknowledge our presence. Finally recognized, the person wearing a Metallica shirt says “Can I help you” “Yes, two for lunch” . Seated, the waitress was quick and very efficient. Took our order. Our order arrived…….meat was overcooked. Rest was fine. Ordered desert….. desert was overcooked…..actually burnt….We ate only the ice cream. Left tip and went to pay….stood there five minutes before a person, weating a Dracula shirt, finally came over. We said we would like to pay. She takes the bill and money and says she has to find out waitress. Another couple of minutes. The waitress comes over and says “Can I help you” “We would like to pay” She t h en recognizes us. She proceeds to count out the dollars for our change…..did not offer, did not make an excuse, did not give the small change. Short of making a scene, we cut our losses and left. I will not be back.

No one to greet us when we arrived. Finally sat. Ordered an app- potato skins- ordered crunchy but they were soggy. For main course- I ordered bratwurst. They were good. Fries ordered crunchy- again no go. Either order chicken schnitzel- not pounded flat- too much like a chicken sandwich. Service was very pleasant. $70 for two people. Overall not worth our it.

We were very disappointed today. I had such high hopes of getting great German food. I would say the food was just okay, the service was very very rushed, and I did not feel welcomed at all. Waitress was very uninterested in us and was eating at the bar during her shift. I’m going to give the downtown location a shot, and I’m hoping for a lot better experience. Also could not believe that I was served food on a plastic plate for the price we paid.

Went in for lunch last week. Courtney was our server. She is the best. Super friendly and efficient. She recommended the grapefruit radler and it was great. Had the salami and Brie sandwich which was good.

I enjoyed the food, and was not completely put off by the limited menu. They offer a lunch solution during the weekdays, but not the weekends. Unfortunate sizes for my videos or Large and the price is equally large.

We had a huge party of 20-25 people tonight. Lori and Sam did an absolutely incredible job with the food service and hospitality they showed to Wrecking Crew Harley Davidson Chapter. We look forward to coming back and had so much fun! Thank you ladies for making our night terrific.
