Very popular with locals and visitors alike but didn’t have to wait for a table for one. Indoor & street seating. Authentic German cuisine at excellent prices. Well worth the short walk from the Hbf and plenty of St Georg bars to try on the way back. Had the Bratkartoffeln mit Rührei – so lecker and great portion size. Went back later during my stay for more! Cash only – no credit cards!

Stopped in for a late lunch while visiting Hamburg. Thoroughly enjoyed the schnitzel with holendaise sauce. Atmosphere felt a little old world and cozy. Staff was friendly and didn’t make me feel bad for not speaking German.

My train got delayed and I missed the connection in Hamburg. After a stressful and long day of travel I had two hours to kill before jumping on the night bus and was longing for some food and a drink. It is not super easy to find a restaurant serving food on Sunday at 11pm – but lo and behold, Frau Möller took me in with open arms!!
This is a proper pub with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that serves food until late in the night. I had a vegan curry wurst and a large cold pilsener and it was a damn good meal!!
The menu offers a lot of vegan options.

It was almost impossible to flag down my server.
Halfway through, he went to eat food behind the bar, but didn’t assign anyone to be his replacement. So we couldn’t get service for 30 minutes while he ate his meal. So no beer refills, no way to order anything.
After he finishes I literally had to stare at home for 10inutes until he finally came over.
