Compact, no-frills joint doling out American breakfasts during the day & Mexican dinners at night.

Had a friend of mine take me here he said that the food was delicious and I needed to try it. Well he was spot on! I have driven by many of times and thought about stopping in.. I was glad I finally did. The food proportions were big I thought I would have to get a to go box. Nope … Was able to eat everything. The flavors on the corn beef and hash perfect.. I am definitely going to be coming back!! They also cook the food right there in the open, not hidden in the back and everything is made fresh!!!

This place is exactly the kind of greasy spoon diner that I look for everywhere I go. You just cannot ask for a better breakfast restaurant. I have no complaints about the care here, they have your classic diner options but also a great variety of Mexican dishes. All of them are fantastic, you can not go wrong with anything.
When you walk in the door and see all sorts of random decorations on the wall with some funny phrases and faded pictures of people, you know that it’s going to be solid. They are also busy almost every time I drive by there and normally that might be something that people avoid, but they have the staff to keep up with walks through their door.
I found the staff to be perfectly delightful. Well attentive waiters and waitresses, the line cook was just absolutely ripping in front of the flat iron. He was an absolute beast.
On top of all that, the prices for things are very reasonable.
A solid 10 out of 10, two thumbs up, and five stars.

“Don’t Worry, Be Happy” That’s the logo for a gem of a little greasy spoon restaurant in Tucson called “Frank’s”. I had some friends reach out to me knowing that I was in the Tucson area and they recommended this restaurant. Off times I get recommendations as I travel, but in most cases, I’m either already passed that area or I just don’t have the time to stop. Today I did and, I’m damn glad I did. This is the type of restaurant I just love. Hustle and bustle in a small space with delivery people, clients and work staff all moving about. A grill full of food with plates stacked up and people checking out. Kitchy stuff all over the walls and conversations blending together almost musically. I got the meatloaf sandwich on soudough bread and an order of fries… Yeah, it’s not the most healthy food but when you’re in Frank’s ya just gotta go with the flow.

Outstanding service from Andrew. Over the years I uncountered many servers and this guy has personality, hustle and attentiveness.
Oh yes, food. Had the meatloaf and was very much like homemade. Served hot, I mean hot from the grill. Wonderfully delicious.
Both indoor and south facing patio under the shade cloth.

This place is amazing! First time here, had been wanting to try it for awhile and finally did. It was a little crazy this morning, but found a seat in the corner. Staff was above and beyond excellent with service and personality. Candace, the gal that took our order reminded me of my grandma, smacked us a few times with the menu since we were indecisive, it was awesome. Put big smiles on our faces to get ready for the day. For being as busy as it was, the food came out in record time. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet. I think I had the whole forest of mushrooms on my plate! No skimping here. My friend had the big breakfast, and it was indeed big! I don’t live in Tucson, but most definitely when I visit again, this will be on my list! You all are excellent!! Thank you! We went again the next day, didn’t disappoint.

Great place for brunch. Lots of seating options inside and out. The waitress was so sweet and they have some home made hot sauce and salsa that tastes great

My husband grew up coming to Frank’s with his folks (and ordering the exact same thing- the breakfast sandwich on a bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon) and now I’m lucky enough to be part of that tradition. The staff treats everyone like family, the food absolutely slaps 100% of the time, and the quirky but classic vibe can’t be matched. I know we’re not alone when I say Frank’s is truly our happy place.
Also there is no amount of their hot salsa that will ever be enough. I will dream about it that salsa tonight.

I really enjoyed my visit to Franks restaurant here in central Tucson, AZ. As the sign says this is not for you if you want a fine dining experience. But if you want good food with an authentic Tucson flare, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Then Franks is for you. My waiter, Andrew, was friendly, fast and attentive. I had the Green chili and cheese omelette with chorizo and locally made tortillas. I also tried out the fresh made biscuit. All was wonderful. I’ll eat there again.

My second time back at Franks. It was less crowded this time around at 11AM on a Saturday. Ample parking. It’s not the best part of town but I felt safe. There were some bothersome flies in the outside eating area I don’t remember from before. If that bothers you, there was plenty of room inside. Staff were all friendly and helpful and always.
Tried the cheese steak w/ provolone this morning with Home Fries. The roll was soft but robust. The steak was tasty with the onions and peppers done well and nicely browned. Home fry potatoes were cooked well through and not mushy or too hard. Be aware, this is a comfort food here. If you’re looking for fancy, keto, low-cal fare this isn’t the place for you. But I like it. Recommended.

Great little place to grab a quick breakfast. The service is good and food is made fresh to order. The place is small but the flavor is great and everything it well made. Their roasted salsa is amazing.

What a dive like out of a movie but really great. Staff and food great! Sat at the bar. Had a ham club sandwich. Love how they used ham steak for the ham and not a bunch of the thin sliced stuff. Reasonably priced too.
