My wife and I went for a date night during Roanoke restaurant week. This was our 1st time here and it was great. Perfect for a night out with a fun atmosphere. The tasting menu was great! Also, take my pictures with a grain of salt because I didn’t put much effort in adjusting for lighting lol.

I was expecting the meal to be good, but not THAT good. Everything was outstanding. The chili crisp burrata was a must-get appetizer as well as the roasted olives which were so warm and buttery… chefs kiss. Both pasta dishes we got were perfectly cooked, brilliantly flavored, and proportioned beautifully.
Also a huge shoutout to the bar for having $5 mocktails! The bartenders made me the most delicious mocktail I may have ever had.

Can I give 6 stars? What a wonderful, fun, delicious, service and hospitality, and I mean what an EXPERIENCE! When you are traveling that is what you what right? Brett, came straight to our table when he saw it was or anniversary and out of town. He spent 20 minutes listening to our craziness and giving us his craziness back! Our server was fantastic. Watching a restaurant be ALIVE was incredible. Thank you for an incredible anniversary and experience. We will be driving back! Xo ♥️

How I wish this fantastic find were near our home!! It would be a weekly dine out here! The meal from beginning to end was superb! Misto Frito (fried calamari) perfect! Eggplant parmigiana excellent! Duck ragu absolutely so delicious it was incredible! Tiramisu to go and an affogato beat since our days in Italy!The prices are beyond reasonable! And let’s not forget the terrific wine choices at great prices and excellent cocktails. Service with Josue impeccable and atmosphere great vibes.

Our first time visiting, everything was amazing! The atmosphere, the service, the food. We never had to ask for anything, they were always on top of refills and answered our menu questions before we knew we had them. This was an impromptu date night, that turned out better than any dates we’ve planned with reservations. 10 out of 10, will be back!

Fortunato is a standout. The food is creative Italian at its best, with fantastic, thoughtfully made dishes that highlight handmade ingredients and real attention to detail. Every plate feels intentional and beautifully executed, without ever being fussy. You can tell how much care goes into both the menu and the experience, which makes each visit memorable. An exceptional spot for anyone who appreciates Italian food done with creativity and heart.

wish i could put this on a separate review page for the christmas bar.. my friend and i went to the christmas bar for the first time ever and it was not a pleasant experience. we sat at a table for 2 right next to the bar but the bartender who was waiting on us checked on us a maximum of one time. we had to flag her down to ask for a food menu. it was never offered. the cherry on top was i watched this same bartender/waitress take 2 shots on the clock back to back within 10 minutes. im wondering how many shots she had total. ABC was out that night as well. not a good look. it was cute in there but this made us not want to return and we really did want to enjoy it and love it.

Overall we had a pretty good time at this place, started out a bit rocky at first (we think they forgot about our table), but it all worked out in the end.
We had a couple plates of the octopus, calamari, and the chicken liver mousse. I had the brick chicken which was good as well.
We were a bit stuffed for anything else and wanted to try the bar next door but called it an early night. Fun vibes and fun folks working.
