If you’re looking for another reason to love calling Fort Collins home, let me introduce you to Almansita’s Mexican Family Restaurant. There are so many reasons this community means so much, and this place is one more beautiful reminder that family still matters. From the moment you walk in, you feel it. The Almansita’s family takes care of every single guest like you are sitting at their own kitchen table. It is not just service. It is genuine care, warmth, and pride in what they do.
And the food. WOW! You absolutely do not leave hungry. The portions are huge and generous, the kind that make you laugh and say, this is going to be leftovers tomorrow. Every bite tastes authentically delicious. You can tell from the fresh tortillas to the rich flavors layered into each dish that this food is made with intention and tradition. It is comforting, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is how they make sure you leave not only with a full belly but with an even fuller happiness. They go out of their way to make you feel valued and appreciated. I cannot recommend this place enough. It has officially become our new home away from home, and the reasonable prices make it even sweeter for my large family. If you are looking for full flavor, full bellies, and even fuller joy, do not miss this FoCo gem.

DON’T GO HERE!! I think this was the worst mexican food I’ve ever had, no joke. I payed $50 for borderline inedible food for me and my girlfriend. The “chips and guac” was chips topped with shredded cheese and an unknown green purée. The meat was bland and did not taste food safe, the beans and rice were both incredibly bland and everything tasted like it had been watered down. Literally feel nauseous after eating half a taco. Please spare yourself.

Basically a Mexican fast food type place where you walk up to the counter to place your order then grab a seat and wait for the food. Typical burritos and such though I went with one of the plate options that came with rice and beans (I picked chorizo as the main item for the plate). All of the food was good but didn’t really stand out – it’s the type of place to get just a good solid meal with all the basics. I liked the large size of the mango drink – not a very strong mango flavor, it’s more of just a mango flavoring rather than actual mango juice but it tasted alright. Overall, not a fancy splurge type of place but still offers good food at reasonable prices.

Do not listen to anybody that’s posting bad reviews for this restaurant, we’ve been coming here for several years now and know the owners very well, they have a lot of pride in the food and it’s quality. Some of the nicest human beings we’ve ever met and the food absolutely speaks for itself, Amazing Mexican food, reminds us of some of the best Mexican food we had in Arizona. We drive 55 minutes just to come to this place, love it!

We have tried this place a few times because it’s so close, but after our last experience we will never return. It took about 20 minutes longer than they predicted to have our order ready. We got 4 breakfast burritos and each one of them was completely bland. I don’t think they even used salt. Some tortillas were overdone, others underdone. Just the worst breakfast burrito any of us had ever had. We essentially had to remake the food at home just to make it edible.

My only complaint here is the guacamole! I agree with people saying it’s bad because it is however, the rest of the food is tasty and reminds me of Cali.
Almansita’s does need to change the guacamole immediately! Charge more if you have to, just change it.
Colorado folks are used to ground beef, Taco Bell style food and enjoy places like Santiago’s which is no where even close to authentic.
It’s not the food here, it’s being educated on what’s authentic and how it should taste. But, to each his or her own. You keep enjoying your Taco Bell and others will enjoy this place. By the way… Order the carne asada burrito, extra cheese and pico, beef taco (fried) or just a regular bean burrito. Or Carne asada fries or nachos with pico.
Again, if you know what you’re doing you’ll be fine!

Ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon in it and ended up picking all the bacon off! It didn’t even look cooked, it looked like it was put on the grill for a couple seconds and huge strips were put in my burrito. Definitely not trying to get sick from eating uncooked bacon!

Ordered for pickup and they were very timely. Breakfast burrito was delicious. Quesadilla had most of the carne asada and cheese towards the middle of the tortilla so some of the bites were just straight tortilla. But once you got to the goodies it was delish!

Constant disappointmemt from this resturant. My first order from this place was on door dash and instead of tacos i recieved sandwhiches instead with the entire order being incorrect. After deciding to try the place again my pick up order was canceled immediately with no explaination beyond them being unable to fufill the order. Such a shame because the buissness is so close to my house. Hopefully the managers here get it together. I would highly expect your problems with your order until then.

I ate here on Sunday and got lethally sick after eating an entrée here. I spoke to the owner and her response was well that’s too bad that happened to me when I go out to eat too. It’s just part of going out to eat. I will never eat here again at this filthy restaurant
