Beautiful space, beautiful and delicious presentations, thoughtful service. First time to Fortu and we thought it was great and they deserve their Michelin recommendation and maybe even deserve a star. We loved every dish and the cocktails and wines by the glass were great also. Our favorites were the Toro, dumplings, the tacos (we did both the Wagyu and tuna), the scallops, and the desserts, lychee panna cotta and ube cheesecake were divine. I dropped one of the dumplings on the ground and without any mention from me, the waiter brought another one out to our table. We all loved Fortu and look forward to returning! Highly recommend!

Incredible food. My partner was given a gift card because he brought a party there and they were unable to eat due to wait. He was fine waiting, but the party was not and they left some, in my opinion, unwarranted bad reviews. Anyway, the owner reached out to my partner and apologized, which is amazing customer service and I got to enjoy the free meal. The food is immaculate and you can tell they really care about what they’re putting out. We got pork belly sliders, wonton tacos, potato Mille, wagyu gyoza, miso black cod, fried rice, and ube cheesecake. The cod was recommended by our server and it did not disappoint. I think for a more upscale restaurant the prices weren’t too bad and everything was so good. Would definitely come back to try everything else. Thank you to the owner for the meal!!

We came here for our 7-year anniversary dinner a couple of weeks ago and we had an incredible experience. The food was just amazing, every bite was so delicious. They gave us complimentary glasses of champagne since we were celebrating. The vibe was lovely, the interior beautiful, lively without being too loud, and our waitress was so kind and attentive; she helped us with recommendations. We both loved our cocktails as well — I did the cherry blosson/lychee one and my husband had the whiskey/mandarin drink. I can’t wait to go back and have my favorites as well as try other menu items out. Highly recommend!

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Iberico pork chop.Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and flavorful, complemented by the right sides that enhanced its taste.

Came for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! From the cocktails (geisha and the sakura blossom) to the service (shout out to Kevin!)… it met and exceeded expectations! The oxtail wonton tacos were better than the tuna ones and the steak tartare was pretty good… but the true star of the show was the Miso Black Cod We will definitely be back to try the Prix Fixe!

I have wanted to come since this place opened, and it was definitely worth the wait! The restaurant is super busy, so definitely make reservations. We waited 15 minutes or so for our table, but grabbed two seats at the bar and ordered a drink. The ambiance is incredible. Warm and cozy, but can feel a little cramped depending on where you’re seated.
Excellent drink menu. I had a gin-based drink that was herbal and earthy to start, then followed up with a Negroni. (It’s surprisingly hard to find a good Negroni in Tampa and theirs was perfect!). Pam was our waiter and she was fantastic. Super helpful with recommendations and great timing.
The kampachi was incredible. Full of flavors! The pork belly was our favorite dish but we also enjoyed the carrots, and wagyu potstickers. We were full with the addition of the fried rice. The wagyu add-on had a very healthy serving of tender, delicious meat.
10/10 would recommend. Looking forward to coming back and trying their steak!

Fortu is a really cool, modern spot that feels thoughtful without being pretentious. We did the prix fixe menu with the wine pairing and everything was beautifully executed — creative, balanced, and clearly intentional. The steak tartare was the standout for me, but every course hit. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a menu that feels both elevated and fun. Definitely worth a return.

We went last weekend for my birthday. It’s a beautiful trendy place. Our server was Ian and he was fantastic! Food was amazing. Loved the wagyu ribeye (wanted the A5 japanese wagyu, but they were out of it), the dumplings, but my highlight of the dinner was the UBE cheesecake! Highly recommand to everybody!

Love this place! The atmosphere is always so welcoming and the staff is stellar! Ryan, the bartender was friendly and made a delicious martini! They have an umamai bitters, who knew, but it paired perfectly in one of their signature cocktails! Pam, our server, was very knowledgeable about wine and friendly. Her recommendations were spot on! One of our party got the pre fixed menu, what an amazing deal!! Others ventured on to the ala carte. From beginning to end our journey through this Michelin recommended restaurant was delightful!
