The best vegan/vegetarian & wholesome food in Marathon. Nothing else comes even close. Our favorite is the Breakfast Burrito Wrap (no egg, extra beans), which comes with a side of what I’d call the world’s best chipotle aioli!!!! The burrito is filling and wholesome. The overnight oats are excellent, mixed with chia, berry jelly, peanut or almond butter, blueberries and coconut slices. Also very filling. The food was so good here, and the vegan-friendly options in Marathon so limited that we would order dinner before they close at 4pm and eat it later. Only complaint is they don’t seem to have a ventilation hood in the kitchen, so the entire cafe/shop fills with smoke from the grille. On one occasion they opened the rear door to help ventilate, but they should get a proper fan installed for the health of guests and themselves.

Lunch was homemade with care and thought of flavors and health.
Fresh juices, original health conscience drink combinations using bold flavors like mint, lime, and giner.
The specials were delicious. Vegan and vegetarian options for most items on the menu.

Excellent food at fair prices, & everything was fresh and delicious! We had açaí bowls, a monkey business bowl, avocado BLT with soup and salad, and a portobello sandwich, and my whole family, including kids ate every bite! We left feeling good instead of heavy like some other restaurants. We loved it all and will be back!

Stopped here for a quick bite – not only is the food amazing, best panini I’ve had in US, their selection of healthy snacks is incredible.
Their elderberry spritz with homemade syrup? INCREDIBLE! I’m gonna need a full franchise of this place in every major airport! I so appreciate a restaurant that actually cares about using ingredients that are fueling you nutritionally.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the brand new owners of our local health food store Food for Thought, and they are absolutely wonderful. You can instantly feel how much they genuinely care—not just about the store, but about every single customer who walks through the door.
While I’ll definitely miss Blair and Mike, I’m excited for this fresh new chapter for everyone involved!
This spot has always been a 10/10 for me—not only for all your health supplies and clean grocery needs, but also for their fresh-made foods, smoothies, and juices.
Today I tried the avocado toast topped with eggs and a green juice (can’t recall the name, but it was amazing!)—everything was divine.
It just feels good to eat here and hang out here. If you haven’t stopped in yet, now’s the time. Highly recommend!

100% vegan substitutes available. Food for Thought owners Maya and John (and all the staff) are super nice. At the Moondog Café the vegan items/option are clearly marked on the menu. Likewise, “VEGAN (Entire Order)” is prominently printed on the order/receipt — and they got it right every time! Try the mushroom panini, the breakfast burrito, and the veggie quesadilla.

Absolutely adore this local owned spot! Been a longtime customer, and have loved what the new owners have done to expand and maintain the charm that is and has been Food for Thought. Handmade, quality, and smiles on every employee who greets you by name with excitement that you’re there. They even support lots of local artisans, have great gift options, and sell homemade sourdough bread from a local artisan baker!

We were on our way through and stopped for smoothies for the kids and cappuccinos for us. Everyone very friendly but they should have disclosed that the coffee machine had problems or that the coffee would take a long time. Especially cause we didn’t order anything to eat and had kids waiting with us. We spent 100$ in total on some grocery items. We waited for 45+ minutes in the end for the coffees. The smoothies took 30 mins. This would have all been fine if we would have known. We might have cancelled the coffees cause waiting for just coffee until lunch time isn’t really a great idea. Simply be upfront about it and we would have just left and get a quick coffee somewhere else.

Just stopped here to eat at the cafe with my family.
It was delicious! We all got breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, and the hummus plate. Love to find local small businesses focusing on healthy, organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Highly recommend and will stop here again!
